Guess what? Ever since the world began, same plot...

...everyone's been dumping on their fellow man, pounding people they feel better than.

This is the remaining shape of my 2013, with travel dates and everything. Beautiful travel dates. Hope to see you sometime in the months to come. 2014 is now much of the list, as we are almost there. And other horrifying thoughts. (Most horrifying of all, the first 2015 date has appeared. Gleep.)

Publications

Parasite, October 29 2013.
"Frontier ABCs: The Life and Times of Charity Smith, Schoolteacher," November 12 2013.
"Red as Snow," December 2013.

Half-Off Ragnarok, March 4 2014.
"Jammed," April 1 2014.
"Knit a Sweater Out of Sky," May 13 2014.
"Stingers and Strangers," May 2014.
Sparrow Hill Road, June 3 2014.
The Winter Long, September 2 2014.
Symbiont, November 2014.

"The Happiest Place...," unknown.
"No Sooner Met," unknown.
"The Fixed Stars," unknown.
"We Both Go Down Together," unknown.
"Train Yard Blues," unknown (previously October 13 2013).

Conventions/Appearances/Travel

Disneyland, October 25-28, Anaheim CA.
Parasite release party at Borderlands Books, October 29, San Francisco CA.
Parasite release party at Books Inc., October 30, Mt. View CA.
Parasite release party at Mysterious Galaxy, October 31, San Diego CA.
Parasite release party at Barnes and Noble, November 1, Seattle WA.
Parasite release party at Barnes and Noble, November 2, Portland OR.
SFContario, November 29-December 1, Toronto Canada.

Boskone 51, February 14-16 2014, Boston MA.
FOGcon 4, March 7-9, Walnut Creek CA.
Norwescon 37, April 17-20, Seattle WA.
Loncon 3 (Worldcon 2014), August 14-18, London England.
Shamrokon (Eurocon 2014), August 22-24, Dublin Ireland.

Westercon 68, July 2-5 2015, San Diego CA.

No fixed deadline/being written/unsold:

"Black as Blood"
"Blocked"
"The Ghosts of Bourbon Street"
"IM"
"Forbidden Texts"
"Fiber"
"Carry Me Home"
"Pixie Season"
"These Antique Fables"
Echo
Still Catch the Tide

Again, to clarify some recent confusion: some things, especially novel-length things, may appear more than once, on both the "publication date" and "being written" lists. This is because the "being written" list is an aggregate, which also includes "no fixed deadline" (IE, being written on spec or for the website) and "unsold" (IE, being written because I can). So new books will appear there for a long time before they vanish, since books take a long time to write, but may also have pub dates listed higher up.

Look at that list. It's so shiny!

Eeee! Two months till the Istas story! Also five months till the next InCryptid book - I'd better get working on those felted mice.....
Hee yay.
I want you to come to DC! I know you are not in control of these things, but who do I tell?
1) My publisher.
2) Local convention organizers who could potentially invite me as a guest.
Re: Parasite tour: Holy SHIT, that's a lot of plane-hopping! But I am glad you'll be at Mysterious Galaxy. I will do my very best to attend.
Yay!
And if I have my Indexing song done by then (fingers crossed), I'll bring you a CD with, at the very least, a scratch track or a quick-and-dirty live performance.
The 2015 date is a guest of honor gig, isn't it? At least you can take that comfort...
It is, and one of the rare ones that's actually announced this far in advance.
Westercons are usually very good about that sort of thing. They have to have prospective GoH'es at least tentatively lined up in order to compete in the bidding process.
I want to be able to afford that. However, the chances of that are unlikely, as I'm shooting for Worldcon that year and I can generally only afford a convention every few years. But I can DREAM of more than one convention a year!
Six more days! I cannot wait for Parasite to come out! :)
I'm excited and scared!
What is Red as Snow? Or from where? :)
"Red as Snow" is a short story slated for release in December, 2013.
Disneyland, October 25-28, Anaheim CA
And because of the timing of the release of Parasite, there shall be no Sondheim Style Mash-ups about said title while waiting in line for Racers. Just sayin'...
A comic that made me think of you
I have no idea why I wrote this last year.

Wanna see ya when ya get out here and the wife wants to meet ya still

We shall do our dangest to meet up!!!
We miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss you.
