One, two, three...yeah.

...well, she sneaks around the world, from Kiev to Carolina.

This is the current shape of my 2013, with travel dates and everything. Beautiful travel dates. Hope to see you sometime in the months to come. 2014 is now half the list, July 2014 is closer to "now" than January 2013. And other horrifying thoughts. (Most horrifying of all, the first 2015 date has appeared. Gleep.)

Publications

"Not Sincere" (Indexing, episode #10), September 24 2013.
"Forbid the Sea," September 2013.

"Bad Apple" (Indexing, episode #12), October 22 2013.
Parasite, October 29 2013.

Conventions/Appearances/Travel

Chimes at Midnight release party, September 14, Borderlands Books, San Francisco CA.

SFContario, November 29-December 1, Toronto Canada.

Boskone 51, February 14-16 2014, Boston MA.

Westercon 68, July 2-5 2015, San Diego CA.

No fixed deadline/being written/unsold:

Symbiogenesis
"We Both Go Down Together"
"Knit a Sweater Out Of Sky" (formerly "Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway")
"Spores"
"Dark Shapes in Rendered Corners"
"Blocked"
"The Ghosts of Bourbon Street"
"IM"
"Fiber"
"Carry Me Home"
"Pixie Season"
"These Antique Fables"
"Daddy Would've Gotten Us Uzis: A Girl, A Gun, An Apocalypse"
Echo
Still Catch the Tide

Again, to clarify some recent confusion: some things, especially novel-length things, may appear more than once, on both the "publication date" and "being written" lists. This is because the "being written" list is an aggregate, which also includes "no fixed deadline" (IE, being written on spec or for the website) and "unsold" (IE, being written because I can). So new books will appear there for a long time before they vanish, since books take a long time to write, but may also have pub dates listed higher up.

Look at that list. It's so shiny!

Regarding appearances:

A flyer from one of my local Barnes & Noble stores advertises a Mira Grant appearance scheduled for Nov. 2 (Clackamas Town Center in Portland, OR). Should that be added to the list, or have they been bamboozled by zombies/parasites/clones?
*cough*

LOOK A BUNNY.

...and now I'll be singing that all night. I have no problems with this. (They were never the same after Barry Carl left, though.)
I knew I liked you for a reason. ;)

(I haven't bought a single cd post-Barry Carl. I'm just happy I got to see him perform with them once, live.)

heh. Yeah, the song got stuck in my head pretty much instantaneously. :)

(I actually visited Carmen filming once. Twenty years ago. Which is terrifying oh god i feel old now.)

Agreed.
Hooray! Alan and I will be seeing you at SFContario! And Loncon! and Shamrokon! (as stalkers go we apparently lack dedication - that's a long hiatus) If you need a spare merch person at any of these I'm available. Should we bring you wooly scarves and mitts for December in Toronto?
...that might be a good idea.

I'm scared. :(

Hmm. Kiev is lurve.

Zombies are love.

Therefore, it is possible but not certain that zombies are Kiev.

It's a good thing I can't afford to travel to Kiev.
We're looking forward to Saturday's release party - we may still be in faire garb as we're ducking out of the Sebastopol Renn Faire early to head over.
Do it, Rockapella!

Sorry, I just couldn't resist :-) I'm having childhood flashbacks here!
Doo wah doop a doo wah doo wah doop a doo wah...
The Rockapella & Friends "Where In the World is Carmen SanDiego?" CD is in my car this very moment. The soundtrack for this evening's commute home has now been determined. :-)

Hopefully not an impertinent question - I don't recall seeing anything on the No fixed deadline/being written/unsold list with a strike-through before. What does that indicate? Finished but still unsold? In hibernation? Sold to the story gypsies?
The strike through indicates finished.

So this doesn't really go in this section but I don't know exactly where to put this soo.... will you start a wiki for the October books? I wish I had time to reread the books each time a new book comes out but I just don't. People should start a wiki so I don't have to sit and feel as guilty that I can't reread the books each time...please?
No, I won't.

I only have so many hours in the day, and not only do we have the issue of my knowing things that aren't in the books yet (and sometimes forgetting what has/has not been published), but I can either maintain a wiki or write the next volume. There's a reason 90% of wikis are fan-run.

If someone else wants to start one, they are welcome.

I'm a little sad I won't be around to pick up some of your upcoming books as soon as they come out, but they make me look forward to getting back to the US a little more. Can't wait.

Unrelated. I'm a little late to the bandwagon, but I just finished San Diego 2014. I'd forgotten what it felt like to have a story punch me in the gut. Holy shit, Seanan. Have you heard recently that you're an amazing writer? Because I feel like you should hear it more.
Thank you!
