If you go down in the woods tonight, you'd better not go alone: INDEXING episode #7 is now live!

It's here! It's here! The seventh episode of Indexing is now live!

All hell is breaking loose, and the good men and women of the ATI Management Bureau are right in the middle of things. When multiple stories go active on the same night, there's no way to research and resolve them one by one: it's a full-on fray, and there's no way to keep the team together. But will there be consequences for splitting the party? With this many ever afters looming, it seems impossible to get away unscathed. Episode seven, "Bread Crumbs," is ready for you to enjoy.

This post serves as both your reminder and discussion thread.

Once upon a time...

Oy! I have no idea how this is going to shake out, but it's going to be a hell of a ride, whatever happens. I did not realize what Jeff's story was, and I am really glad he got pulled back from the brink. I'm also really glad that Sloane seems to be channelling her inner bitch really well.
I loved it when she said, "You're the one who told me to fight my story by being more upbeat. It seems to come with the awesome bonus of pissing you off. I'm going to be upbeat forever." hahaha

Crap! I'm falling behind! I haven't read Loch and Key yet, and just finished Carniepunk!
Oh noes!
This was just a fantastic episode! I was gripping the edges of my phone (lol where I have kindle access) while reading this. Absolutely just amazing and I'm going to die before the next one. :D Poor everyone and you're delightful in the tormenting of all of them. ^___^
Thank you!
Oh my god, I am completely clueless. I (somehow) did not put 2 and 2 together that YOU are the Seanan McGuire of Indexing!! I'm actually really embarrassed to be admitting this, hahaha.
Ok, so stupidity aside, let me take a moment to thank you for the effort you're putting into this story. I am CRAZY about it. I'm actually stealing reads of Episode 7 while I'm at work, and have been laughing aloud. I'm telling everyone I know about the story, and in fact just yesterday was joking in my own LJ that I'm not actually a member of your marketing team, hahaha.

Thanks again - really great stuff. And 12 episodes! Thrilling.
I am me!

I'm so glad you're enjoying it. It's been one hell of a ride.
Whoa! Loving this! The stakes just got raised even higher, and what the hell is this shit? Moremoremore!
Soon!
Awesome! Sloane and Henry's buddy copness is still one of my favorite things - especially Sloane still working so hard at fighting and Henry being Henry. The crowbar is perhaps my favorite bit this time.

Andy's narrative was really chilling, and Demi makes me want to cry. I really hope there's some kind of safety for her now, but I'm afraid there won't be.

Now I'm super excited about two weeks from now!
Woot!
Noooo! Not Demi!
Sad but true.
Loved it! Waiting 2 weeks is hard, but each episode makes me flail with joy. I'm so worried and intrigued! A scheherezade?!
It could happen...
When Jeff figured out what was going on and then turned away without telling anyone, I was certain he was about to die. Thank you for subverting one my least favorite tropes.
I don't like it either. :)
Man, how did I not see this coming? All those stories about stories would generate people with power over stories! Like the Narrative itself. I was intrigued by the idea of the sentient Narrative, but a villain who can control the Narrative makes more sense (and is also more in line with the way you do villains; I don't think I've seen you tackle something so abstract before).

I am so nervous for everyone now.
Oh, don't worry; the abstract comes back.
Nice crowbar. :-)

I hardly breathed through most of the episode, I was so on edge waiting for the Next Bad Thing(tm) to hit.
Glee.
I adore Sloane.

First she yells at the story until it went away, then she showed the Peter Pan her tits. All though it is the "How are we going to write up THIS one?".
The converse is that I'll bet that the archives folks probably place bets on those kinds of reports, and post them in the breakroom.
Damn right.

I was also quite surprised by the Jeff reveal. Hubba hubba? How are they gonna write THAT one up either!?

Argh! This is killing me! I whip through the new episode and then have to wait TWO WEEKS to find out what happens next. And this week! Turning the "pages" as fast as I could go! Absolutely love this setting and this story.

i literally jumped up and down when i saw my email saying it was available. LOL
Yay!
I love this chapter, Andy's story was great, i think that maybe he kiss Jason because he felt left out because the other are story and he is the only normal, maybe, and Jeff's story, know i need to research the ending of his i don't remember in what it ends, but know i hope he ends up with Henry, and either the person manipulating the narrative was speaking through to the frog or Jason turn into a frog and evil. Great chapter can't wait for the next.
Thank you.
Two words for this: oh $#!^.

...I hope Demi can be saved. Why is it that I strongly suspect she can't?

Oh, Demi.
Going back through the eps looking for the breadcrumbs, I just realized.

She has been cheated. Of what was her due. Cheated of a normal life.
She's been unhappy since she was recruited, and taking out the team would make narrative sense for her story.

Halfway through the episode I started hearing a line from New York Minute in my head "Lying here in the darkness, I hear the sirens wail, Somebody's going to emergency, Somebody's going to jail"

Yes.
