I can confirm that it is also available for download in the Land of Poison and Flame and Now With Added Zombie Kangaroos.

They looked upon our zombie apocalypse, and they were not impressed. Heeee.

The quote from Mahir at the start of Part VI made me tear up.

Wow, this is like the "happy ending" story of Newsflesh, isn't it? It's so much more cheerful, it's surprising.

Should I ever be magically transported into Newsfleshverse (oh god), I'm heading to Australia. Which I kind of want to do anyway except the price and long plane flight kind of make me want to hide under a bed in fear, so probably not.

Funny, I feel the same way about visiting the US (re: price and distance). I have a hell of a lot of people I'd want to visit there though so it would probably be worth it.

I know I read it as such, yeah. I wouldn't presume to assume Seanan's intentions, but the wording felt very much like that oft-quoted catchcry of 'A dingo stole my baby!'. Except this time it wasn't a dingo.

It wasn't meant to be; I used a kangaroo and (I thought) a pretty clear "my ex did it but I'm having issues with that" through line to try to avoid real-world comparisons. I quite muffed that one, apparently. :(

Oh, don't worry, it was really clear that it wasn't actually the kangaroo. It was just similar enough to be a bit amusing for this Aussie in particular who's pretty used to people quoting that dingo line. Don't worry, honeybunch.
