I read Cabal many, many years ago (when it was first released in hardcover and I was a "rabid" fan of Clive Barker) and thought it was okay. As with a great many of Barker's series stories, the proposed follow-up never seemed to arrive. Ditto the third book of The Art (which is supposed to follow The Great and Secret Show and Everville.)
As far as Nightbreed goes. I saw it once, on its opening weekend, and thought it was middling, at best. If Barker's original cut of the film is ever released, I would be willing to watch it, but I've never felt compelled to revisit the film in its current version.
I collected the Nightbreed comic book series, but don't remember what that was like, at all.
