CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT giveaway! For great justice!

The ARCs of Chimes at Midnight arrived last night, and gosh and golly, they are amazing! So pretty. So real and in my hands. I am overcome with delight. And naturally, I am already starting to go "oh jeez get them out of my house, there are so many of them, get them out of my house."

So...

ARC giveaway! This first dance with the free stuff wolves will be the ART CHALLENGE. Post your Toby-inspired art (drawing, painting, manipulated photo, cosplay, animated .gif rendered funny by context, jewelry, anything that is visual and artsy) on this entry, or post links if your material is hosted elsewhere, and indicate whether you are in the US or international (and if international, whether you will pay postage).

On May 28th, having returned from the wilds of Disney World, I will select two winners: one via our old friend, the RNG, and one by going "that one is my favorite, it should have a book."

There will be other giveaways, but not everything can be 100% no-effort. I have to spend effort running the contests/writing the books/mailing the winning packages. I want to have fun too!

earrings: mismatched crossed knives

Earrings: one silver knife and one iron knife. (Actually they're both pewter, and the earhooks silver-plated steel, but work with me.) I can envision Toby wearing these earrings because they amuse her (maybe with tiny silk sheaths so they don't itch, which I might include except I can't sew), and then one day things go Horribly Wrong and the little pointy metal-toxic-to-fae things hanging from her earlobes are literally her only weapons...

(Can I enter more than once? I have Ideas.)

Not sure how well this will come out. I explained to my hairdresser about Tybalt and that I wanted Tabby stiles. I get a lot of comments about them from all sorts of people.

Speaking of Chimes and the other Toby books - we just had a late night conversation on the way home that started with a mention of meringue, went to the "airy nothing" quote, and then wandered off into the faery. We are very much wondering if there is a chart or list somewhere that shows which of the varying breeds of fae are from Titania's line and which are from Maeve? And where do the Cait Sidhe fit into that, please?

We were enjoying pitching your work to a new friend tonight and recommending you with glee.

Please don't ask questions on giveaway posts? They confuse the RNG, and they cannot win, which forces us to run the drawing multiple times.

No such chart exists, and if it did exist, I wouldn't share, because Toby does not have access.

I know the rose roads are supposed to be dirt, unfortunately my photo editing skills aren't that good. The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden's rose roads are grassy. :) I am located in the US.

I decided to do Toby's scars. I know not all of them have scarred her on the outside, but scars aren't just that which is visible.
Toby's Scars
4 Gunshot wounds, claw marks from a Doppleganger and two disembowelments from a Cait Sidhe. A poisoned spear, a bad knee, poisoning, elfshot, various cuts to herself and from others. Seanan, you should be nicer to Toby! She's been through a lot!
There's also her heart for those she has lost, and her blood for the humanity she isn't willing to give up and the humanity she has already had to give up.
Iron and Darkness surround her for things she won't be able to forget.
All wrapped in her fish outside.
