Counting and cleaning and mailing, oh my.

Yesterday, the very last of the Wicked Girls T-shirts (a reprint, since the original shirt had been damaged in the printing process) went into the mail. One shirt has been returned to me because the address was wrong (we're trying to contact that person now), and some international shirts may still be in the process of getting where they're going, but apart from that, we're finally finished. (As an addendum, if you have not received a shirt, and you should have received a shirt, please mail the merch address as soon as possible. Right now, we have some overruns and extras, so there's a chance we can make things right. This isn't going to be the case forever, and processing refunds is tedious. And yes, we're going honor system with this, because how the hell am I supposed to prove that you don't have something? I can't afford that many plane tickets.)

As of today, I'm still packaging and shipping Wicked Girls posters. All the signed/numbered posters have been spoken for, although some "normal" posters are still available. I'm going to have to rethink my shipping costs after this batch; at this point, mailing a poster overseas is more than $10 USD. It sucks, because I've been trying to keep costs as low as I can, but there's only so much that I can afford to do. (Everyone who has a poster pending will get it for the originally stated shipping cost.)

Yesterday, I mailed a restock of Red Roses and Dead Things to CD Baby—they should have the disks available for purchase by the beginning of next week—and counted the remaining stock in my home. As of right now, there are 64 copies of this album remaining in back stock, and I am not planning to reprint for at least a year. That means that when these are gone, the album goes to officially out of print, and there won't be any more for quite some time, if ever. This is partially a cost issue and partially a storage issue, and both are connected to the same exciting development:

Like, the remastered "Sycamore Tree" is just heartbreaking, it's so good. The current target for me having albums in-hand is the start of May, and since I'm going to need someplace to put them, it's Red Roses and Dead Things' turn to take a little break.

I'm going to have copies of Stars Fall Home again.

I'm so happy.

Sweet gods above and below, no. The idea of trying to mail that many CDs makes me break out in hives. Copies will be available from filk dealers and through CD Baby.

Huzzah for the reprinting! We'll have to pick up a couple of copies when they come out - one for us and one for the friends who currently have our copy on extended loan. You see, they've been teaching their daughter to be an apex predator, so of course she needed to learn "Evil Laugh." Because a toddler chorus of "Ha ha ha ha DIE" is exactly what the world needs.... :)

GLORY DAY AND HAIL! The only song I've heard off Stars Fall Home is "Downhome Aphrodite" and hot damn, that one is enough to have me waiting to order a copy, even if I didn't fully expect to love the rest of the album.

Will you be selling the overrun/extra shirts? I got mine and wear it all the dang time, but I'd be tempted to buy one for a friend too.

I look forward to getting the new version of Stars Fall Home. (And I will be in touch with a filk dealer so that its available on the east coast, hopefully in time for the memorial day conventions (and definitely for Conterpoint.))

It will not be available anywhere in time for the Memorial Day conventions, as I will be releasing the album at OASIS, which is Memorial Day, and will not be making the CDs available for bulk order until I get home from there.

OH THANK GOD my copy of Stars Fall Home disappeared about a week ago and I've been tearing my hair out. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I know reprinting it must be a ton of work, but I for one am really, really happy.

Remastering has been most of the work (and so, so worth it). The new cover is amazing, and I am really excited for this album to be available again.

Only one new song, sadly: "Continental Divide," which I will supply free of charge to anyone who doesn't want to re-buy the album. Although I so recommend re-buying because the remaster has changed EVERYTHING.

Stars Fall Home was my favorite of your albums before Wicked Girls, so this makes me very very very happy. In fact, since you mentioned it I just turned it on.

I'm so damn excited!!!

PS: Took my AR-15 out for a spin at the range on Monday while wearing a Wicked Girls t-shirt. I wish I'd gotten decent pics with it, but I was definitely humming Wicked Girls while sending a barrage of lead down range.

Hey ho.
Um. Yeah. My shirts have arrived by now. And I wanted to write over a week ago but forgot.
Sadly, they're the wrong ones. Colour (cardinal) and sizes (one L for a friend and one XL for me) are correct but I had ordered the larger girly T versions, and I got the "normal girly t-shirt" version. And normal girly shirts are, sadly, even in extra large sizes, not even nearly big enough to fit me. I look like a veryvery tightly squeezed-in sausage. Sigh. Do you need me to comment on my original order comment in the other post?
I am assuming that it is not going to be possible to get the correct ones at this point since it was a customized order. In which case I will just keep them and throw them in a filk fund auction somewhen somewhere. OTOH IF there was still a possibility to exchange them and get larger girly T shirts in cardinal or purple, that would be fab.

Wicked Girls is likely to stay in print for the foreseeable future, correct? I'm buying Red Roses and Dead Things, and I'd love to get Wicked Girls, but I don't have the money for two albums right now.

That is currently the hope, and I'll post before anything goes out of print. I have about half the most recent pressing left, and will hopefully be able to afford a third print run if it comes to that.

I'm pretty happy there'll be new copies of Stars Fall Home, too.

Incidentally, I picked up The Mad Scientist's Guide to World Domination, purely because you had a story in it. "Laughter at the Academy" was well worth the price of admission, but, good lord, put a warning on that thing: Do Not Read Before Sleeping. I don't think I've ever had such bizarre, twisted, vivid dreams.

That's a compliment, by the way. It stuck in my head and disturbed me deeply. Suddenly I'm not so sure I can laugh at your comments of igniting the biosphere anymore.
