So it's no secret that I love the covers DAW gives me, and that showing them off is one of my true pure joys in life. Chris McGrath has been designing Toby covers for seven books now, and he's amazing. Like, seriously amazing. Want proof?

Toby is badass and there are books and she looks like she's about to cut somebody and and and I'M SO HAPPY!!!!

Seems to me she should be holding the knife the other way -- if you cut down, you often just skitter off ribs. If you cut up, you go in under the ribs, which is of course the best way to a man's heart. :)

'course, she might just be prying a desk drawer open...

(Oh! Right! I absolutely love the cover, which has a great palate and an interesting background and avoids nearly every fantasy cover cliche, most especially that of the heroine being posed for the male gaze.)
