Oh, oh, oooohhhhh.

It's not a happy ending yet, but there is still potential for one. I like the open-endedness, because even if you never write another word about Velveteen (and I dearly hope you do someday), I can imagine more. Thank you.

Also, *sniffles*
I am glad you liked it.
typo: coffee -> coffin
"who slept in the coffee made of glass"
Yes, multiple people have pointed this out, thank you.
"An ending? I don't know, she's not dead after all."
-'The Glass Mountain' by Ursula Vernon
Exactly.
Wow. Thank you for writing this. I hope that one day Velveteen will be able to wake up Tad. I also hope that someone will be there for her to stop her from turning into Marionette if she dies.
Wow.
Thank you.
I knew I should have gotten the tissues before I read this.

Thank you. This was very lovely to read.
You are very welcome.
Wow. Wow, wow, and wow. Thank you.

I never wanted this to end, and I'd read anything else you wrote in this universe in a heartbeat, but where it ended is...a good place to rest. It leaves enough things dangling that I can hope for more stories, but it doesn't leave any bit of what it promised to tell dangling, and it is - for want of a better word - satisfying.

Thank you so much for these stories.
You are so welcome.
Thanks for the feels. I love this universe and its alternate realities.
Yay!
That was beautiful. And I'm glad Vel is going to the holidays; it seems like it would be a good respite, to just get away from her profoundly fucked up dimension for a while.

Seriously.
Thank you, Seanan. Thank you, Landley.

Thank you, Vel.

I'd love to see more. There are so many stories, I can feel them waiting to be told. But if this is how it ends, it's a good ending.
Thank you.
Thank you so much. Velveteen and Rose Marshall were the first of your stories I ever got to read, so getting to this ending means a lot to me. I've got a lot of emotions battling it out in my head right now, but mostly just- thank you.
This makes me happy. :)
I need my bear now *sniffle*
Thank you soooo much.
Very welcome.
I hate how my eyes water in cold weather.
That's all it is. Really.
Heh.
Well, it certainly isn't "happily ever after", but nobody ever really gets that anyway. And this is as good a place to pause as any - you have most masterfully left us wanting more! (I have a sneaking suspicion that you're not going to be able to keep yourself from writing more about Velveteen and all the others; one day they're going to start knocking on the back door of your psyche, demanding that you write What Happens Next. Especially Tad.)
You'd be surprised at how good I am at ignoring those knocks when I have bills to pay.

It wasn't a 'happily ever after' ending, but it was a satisfying - 'as good as it could be' ending. Thank you!
Very welcome.
Oh, Vel. *sniffs* Thanks again so much for posting these!
Very welcome.
Thank you Seanan! That was awesome. A good ending to the story. I have really enjoyed Velveteen. I will miss her and her friends. Thank you again! You are amazing!
Thank you!
Now we just have to hold of for Pixar to make it into a movie. =)
That would be AMAZING.
I'm torn. Thank you for a great story. I'm working on ignoring the part of me that wants to howl, stamp my feet and cry, "It can't be over!"
Awwww.
Ahhhhhh. *is satisfied*

It's been great and I'll be getting the second ebook to go alongside the first when it's out :)
Yay!
Thank you for writing this. And, yes, this is an ending -- certainly a death and rebirth for the Super Patriots, and giving Vel some closure on this part of her life, even if she still has things to do. (Which is natural, since she's still alive. People go on, even if stories like to have discrete units.)

Also, incidentally, I think this is the first time we get Yelena's full name.
It is! I didn't settle on her last name until I wrote it down.
Thank you so much for this. Vel is a wonderful character and her arc is amazing (the same with Yelena, Victoria and well everyone really).

So welcome!

Thanks for the honest story. No free lunches, in that world or this.

On a related note, I shall start buying your physical books when my PayPal balance gets above zero.

(Minor nitpick: "the boy who slept in the coffee made of glass" should be "coffin").
(Yes, I got that. Please check the comments when reporting typos, as I tend to get balky and stop fixing them when they're reported eight times.)
Okay, now that I can think coherently about this I'm going to try and put my thoughts down

Firstly as many others have said, thank you. This has been an awesome series and I'm glad to have read it. I will definitely be getting the e-book editions when they come out

Secondly, some random thoughts
* I kind of feel sorry for Tad being left hanging like that
* I've got mixed feelings about Yelena's change of code-name. Changing from Sparkle Bright, good. Changing to Polychrome, I'm more ambiguous about, for Torrey's sake more than anyone else's. Seems a little too much like Yelena is trying to become Alternate-Yelena (for lack of a better term)

And lastly this line: “It has too many themes,” said Treat. “They can never make up their minds whether it’s a comedy or a tragedy or a farce
Meta commentary much?
Thank you!
Thanks for the wrap-up. I've gone back a couple of times to re-read bits of it (not unique to this section - I've done that with many of the other chapters). I'll keep hoping that you get the chance to revisit this world again before too long!
Maybe.
