Into the land of award eligibility once more.

It's 2013; the nomination periods for many awards are now open; this is my "what I did in 2012 that is eligible" post. There are many such posts on the internet, but this one is mine.

Novels.

Ashes of Honor
Blackout (as Mira Grant)
Discount Armageddon
Velveteen vs. The Junior Super Patriots

Novellas.

"San Diego 2014: The Last Stand of the California Browncoats" (as Mira Grant)

Novelettes.

"Rat-Catcher"
"In Sea-Salt Tears"

Short Stories.

"No Place Like Home"
"We Will Not Be Undersold!"
"One Hell of a Ride"
"The Flower of Arizona"

Best Related Work.

Chicks Unravel Time, featuring my essay, "Waiting for the Doctor: The Women of Series Five."
Chicks Dig Comics: A Celebration of Comic Books by the Women Who Love Them, featuring my essay, "Summers and Winters, Frost and Fire."

...so that's my horses in this potential race. And while they aren't my horses, exactly, I urge you to consider my editor, Sheila Gilbert, for Best Editor, and my cover artists, Christian McGrath, Aly Fell, and Lauren Panepinto, for Best Artist.

I will be posting more shortly about the Hugos in specific, and why you both can and should be a part of the process, but this is mostly about my eligible works. Having put them down for your consideration, I will now go away again. Bye!

I am awaiting my PIN.
Yay!
I've already read quite a few of them, but I obviously got me some more readin' to do before the nomination period is over. I'd better get cracking.
Yes good.
Thank you for the reminder! I am awaiting my PIN.

I hope you enjoyed your pilgrimage to visit the Great Mouse!

Also, in case Mira Grant would like to know - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20918398 - you can now get a scientific seal of approval for fiction writing.
AWESOME.

Yay!
Good luck!
Thanks!
Lots of good stuff to choose from there.
I appreciate this post and others like it from the other authors I like, since I have a terrible memory for exactly when something was published. So, thank you! Also, I seem to have missed "We will not be undersold" - I see that a call to my local bookstore is in order. And I'm waiting my turn to read "Rat-Catcher", as Sarah grabbed the pretty book first when it arrived. :)
That's why I honestly think these posts are important. It's not "NOMINATE MEEEEE" so much as "here are your options."
I thought your essay was one of the best things in Chicks Dig Comics. It made me reconsider Emma Frost.

I've been enjoying the Velveteen stories a lot. (I'm up to date on your novels, so I've been eagerly pouncing on the new Velveteen stories. I love the super-hero genre, and these amuse me greatly.)
Oh, wow. That is high praise indeed.
Only four books? You slacker!

(Kidding! Really!)
Heh.
I just got A Fantasy Medley 2 in the mail and of course read Rat-Catcher RIGHT AWAY. It was so good! I have so many Tybalt feelings! Thank you!
Yay! You're welcome!
Gotta cram in Chicks Dig Comics and Velveteen before I'm caught up in Mythopoeic Season, which is the season right before (and partly overlapping) Hugo Season. Still no Toby or Newsflesh movies (please, please do let me know if I'm wrong!), but I shall console myself by nominating the ten minute or so vid of the NASA control room as Curiosity landed for Best Dramatic Presentation Short Form (there is precedent with the NASA Lunar Landing footage).

Hm.... the guy who's reading the Newsflesh books aloud -- that's a dramatic presentation, isn't it?
Yup, although I like him better for Fan Writer.
User spectralbovine referenced to your post from Nominate Mark Oshiro for Best Fan Writer Hugo 2013! saying: [...] are upon us, and while I obviously endorse any and all nominations for Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant [...]
