A giveaway! FOR JUSTICE!

I have copies of Velveteen vs. The Junior Super Patriots, and guys, it is a pretty, pretty book. Very solid, very well-designed and awesome. And that means I should give a couple of copies away.

This is the first giveaway. It is open to all, with the caveat that if you are outside the United States, you must be willing to pay postage if you win. I am sorry about that, but I can't afford international postage right now. If that's cool with you, yay! If it's not, I really am sorry, and hopefully will win the lottery soon.

To enter, leave a comment with your location (US/non-US), and what super power you would have if you lived in Velveteen's universe. Winners will be selected via random number generator, BUT! If you don't include everything above, you cannot win.

I will randomly select a winner on Sunday, November 18th, so that I can mail the book before Thanksgiving.

Good luck! Game on!

Last comment didn't go through (I don't think) so…

non-US (Canada), ability to influence subconscious thoughts through music, utterly willing to pay postage
Non-us, (Netherlands) totally willing to pay postage.

My superpower would be perfect recall, there are any number of times in my life where I wished I could remember something I had read somewhere, or something I heard somewhere, perfectly. (That or Mary Poppins like cleaning powers.. *sigh*)
US

I'd like to be a teleporter.
Location: USA

Super power: gravity manipulation.

non-US (aka Canada)

Hmmm, ability to turn a book into any book ever written, even if it was never published, whenever I want to.
US

and I want the ability to stretch time ... a couple extra hours in the day would be so awesome, and it would be very tempting to abuse it by getting a full night's sleep.
US
The ability to make real the things I crochet. I could be the Happy Hooker ;-)
Canada (would DEFINITELY pay postage)

Reading the comments there are some GREAT superpowers being suggested - I am totally onboard with the superpower of always detecting and connecting to wifi networks. Very convenient.

I would also like the minor superpower of Clean Laundry - where I could touch an article of clothing and it would instantly be clean and appropriately pressed.
US.
Given that I am perpetually cold, especially my hands, I've always imagined I'd have a water freezing/ice control power. (Done, I know, but it still seems the most fitting.) I mean, I've already had people use my hands to stave off heat stroke in real life, so it wouldn't be a huge leap!
US Address.

My ability would be akin to The Key from The Lost Room. It would be the ability to cause any door to be a door into a nice little room, outside of time and space, and to have the door to the room be any door I know about. Not only instant teleportation, but a comfy safe place I could go to to rest or have time to myself without taking time away from any of my other responsibiltys
US!

I'd be able to protect animals from humans!
In the US, and I would have the amazing ability to hyperconcentrate on one single thing until it was actually finished. Mostly those things would be meals, but still...
US (Mountain View, CA)

My SuperPower: Being able to fix anything or anyone with a swipe of my hand.
US

I would be able to pack and awe-inspiring amount of stuff into an impossibly small amount of space. No squishing allowed.
I live in Texas. I would have the power to make jackasses excuse themselves to the bathroom, for half an hour at a time.
US
I think Teleportation
US address and as for a super power, hmmm... inspired somewhat by Read or Die and also by a comic I wrote/drew some years back: kinetic and density manipulation of wood-pulp-based paper products. Aka USE PAPER FOR ALL THE THINGS. Newspapers as hoverboards, index cards as knives, cardboard armor, lockpicks made of a cotton candy cone... there's paper everywhere, and being able to use it like that would be *awesome*, to my mind!
US
And my power would be to find all lost things
US of A

I would have the ability to enhance... or dehance, mwah ha ha... anybody else's superpower. I could- temporarily, alas- turn a mid-to-low power into an A-lister, or a Big Bad into a mere mortal. Marketing would probably have me chained up in a closet.
Be interesting if you could shift powers. Shift the A-lister's power (not what they do, but rather just the OOMPH) to a mid-lister's, etc. Shift an enemy's OOMPH into the hero fighting or even into some passer-by who then develops low level superpower in whatever their greatest skill is--basically allowing you to create superheroes from regular people. And if you had something like Arkham to draw upon.... could be in great demand.

US address.

I would WANT telekinesis, but I suspect I would end up with empathy (ala Talia from the Valdemar books). And not even cool empathy that can mess with other people's emotions--just receptive empathy. I really really hope I have good mental walls in that universe . . .
US

The power to quietly raise the IQ of everyone around me by 20 points. This power also lets me fly, because.
I m in the US
My superpower would be to fly

If I had a power it would be the ability to absorb any power used against me and retain it to fight/defend with. I'm in Canada.
