Other good stuff is happening.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, there's some news about When Will You Rise?. Most specifically, Publishers Weekly has given When Will You Rise? a starred review!

Here's a link to the actual review.

Here's a quote from the actual review:

"Grant excels in humanizing her characters and surrounding them with believable science and circumstances. The surefooted storytelling is mesmerizing as all-too-plausible dilemmas snowball into desperation and catastrophe."

I AM THE DESTROYER OF ALL HAPPINESS AND JOY! TREMBLE BEFORE ME! I mean...ahem. Isn't that a nice review? Isn't it nice to get a starred review for a nice book like that one? If you haven't ordered your copy yet, you totally should.

I am happy.

Nice review! Oh so nifty for 'Countdown' to be out in print!! Yes, MUST HAVE!
Yay!
I reviewed (Very very briefly) all your books on Audible this morning. That's pretty much how I described you (DESTRYOER....). I'm in the middle of a Toby re-listen pending the new one. :)
Woo!
Congratulations on another well-deserved good review! [happy dance]
I am ecstatic.
I never thought I'd say the following and mean it in a good way, but you are to happiness and goodness like Godzilla is to Tokyo. Smash on! *G*
This makes me happy. :)
I AM THE DESTROYER OF ALL HAPPINESS AND JOY! TREMBLE BEFORE ME!

That would be really awesome on a buisness card.

Congratulations on the good review.
I periodically want to get cards that say "Seanan McGuire, Assassin of Fun."
All will love you and despair.
So you're Galadriel?
Yes.

Yes, I am.
*jumps up and down*

Ordered my copy - can't wait to get it.
Yay!
Congratulations on the great review but also: I just enjoy seeing people post to their journals: 'I am happy.'

This, in turn, makes me happy. It's like a terribly giggly virus.
Best virus is best.
The Yarn Harlot (Stephanie Pearl-MCPhee [knitting designer &author]) just tweeted

"Audiobook -walk/bike listen is Feed/ Newsflesh trilogy. So interesting I walk/ride farther."
Oh, cool!
Just saw this new review for Blackout and though you might like it if you hadn't seen it already (can we link these here? Are we allowed to? Oh, heck I don't know anything about posting ettiquette):

Best quote: I was so worried about fictional people that it gave me a stomach ache. And to me, that’s about the best compliment I can give Mira Grant.

Bascially: You're evil. But we all love it!
You can totally link those here, and also, yay.
