Happy news for UK readers!

Happy, happy day! Because guess what's coming to the United Kingdom? Well, according to Amazon.uk, that would be the Orbit Short Fiction Program. And feast your eyes on this lovely little snippet of internet-y goodness:

An order link for the UK edition of "Countdown."

This is just the Amazon.uk link, not any other platform, but still, this is a huge step forward, and means that soon, it will be a heck of a lot easier for non-US readers to get their hands on my Newsflesh novellas. According to Amazon.uk, the release date is July 2nd.

Hooray!

Glee.
Oh hey - I use the Europe store for Kindle, accessed through amazon.com. This link is saying it'll let me pre-order the novella. Woo! http://www.amazon.com/Countdown-ebook/dp/B008DTOG14/
Fantastic!
Yoinkzor!

A discussion of you on MetaFilter:

(the digression about the poem notwithstanding. I am tired of parodies of that poem about plums, but I wield the power of 'flag it as annoying and go on'.)
Awesome.
Woohoo! *clicks the pre-order button* :-)
Yay!
Yey! Clicked, pre-ordered, will await July 2nd when it will magically wing it's way to my Kindle :)
Hooray!
As far as your sales numbers go, does it matter whether one person buys five copies of a book to give four of them to friends, versus five different people buying one copy each?

I'm thinking it's probably tracked just by totals sold, but the world of publishing is, to me, obscure and mysterious, so I thought I'd double-check.
Nope, it doesn't matter at all. :)
Oh thank god for that. I've been trying to find a way to give you my money for that for ages!

Do you think there will be any change of collecting the Newsflesh novellas into a book at some point in the future, for those of us who are fans of the dead tree format?

PJW
That isn't contracted yet, but it's my devout hope.
Oh man, so much awesome. I was trying to figure out how you switch Kindle accounts to the US because I couldn't wait for these, but it was confusing as all hell. Also I'm at Orbit's parent company this week, I'd been contemplating how unprofessional it would be to march in and demand a UK short fiction release.

Looks like Apocalypse Scenario #683 is out the same day. Does this mean we should be getting San Diego 2014 before long?
I couldn't say, but I do hope so.
