In other news, HOLY CORN MAZES, YOU GUYS, BLACKOUT IS ON THE NPR LIST OF THE BEST SCI-FI OF THE SUMMER!!!!!!!
Ahem.
I am very, very excited, as is only natural when INCREDIBLY AWESOME THINGS of INCREDIBLE AWESOMENESS decide to happen. This is so amazing. I am so amazed. Also, there have been confirmed sightings of the Newsflesh trilogy at WalMart, and no matter what you think of WalMart, that's a lot of eyes potentially falling on (and maybe even buying) my books. Dear world: please buy my books. I have a lot of cats to feed.
NPR! NYT! OMG!
Squee.

New dilemma: Be mind-gibberingly ecstatic for you and your well-deserved success or be mind-gibberingly ecstatic for us and the further surety that we will get read your wonderful books for years to come.
Solution: CHEESE AND CAKE! CHEESE AND CAKE FOR AAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!

And you know? Blackout may be the first of your books to make the NYT list but I would bet serious folding money it won't be the last. Now that the world is getting to know the awesomeness that is Mira Grant/Seanan McGuire, I foresee many more books hitting the NYT lists.
Deservedly so.
Normally I use either my Cat icon or a Newsflesh icon but the Kermit icon is so appropriate for what I am doing right now

*coff*
However, perhaps we can attribute this to sweat and tears. Congratulations! I didn't know NPR did/was doing a list of the best summer SF but how very cool that Blackout is on it. Good news about Walmart, too. (Yes, I do have mixed feelings about them, but potential audience out weighs distate for the chain in this instance.)
It's particularly good that all of the trilogy is available for late-comers.
