Open thread because I have used up all my go.

Thomas says that it's time for an open thread, because I have used up all of my erudite and coherent, and have been staring at my screen, not actually doing anything, for hours. This time would be better spent petting the cat, ergo, it needs to stop. So here is a picture of Thomas cuddling his beloved plush Perry the Platypus to get you started. Nothing starts a conversation like a Maine Coon hugging a secret animal agent.

But anyway. Open thread! Say anything! Woo! Thomas says so.

This may have been asked/answered elsewhere, and i missed it. For the Newsflesh series (which i loved), I was curious... Why the odd form-factor? It's slightly taller and narrower than the standard paperback layout. My guess would be either to have it stand out in the bookstore, and/or to evoke the feel of a media that's subtly different/evolved from today's norms.

Sadly, that's not a question for me: I had nothing to do with the decision, and you'd need to ask Orbit.

Also, asking direct questions on comment amnesty posts is a good way to never hear back. ;)
