Yesterday, io9 published an excerpt of Blackout, the final book in the Newsflesh trilogy. Today, an intrepid Newsie hacked into the CDC computer system and liberated another file. For this one, though, you'll have to do a little digging...

Below is a puzzle whose answer reveals one of the five codes you'll need to access the second, top-secret document.

Once you've gathered all five codes, you can access the encrypted document at the Orbit Books site. WARNING: Massive spoilers for Feed and Deadline ahead!

Blackout will be available May 22nd.

Hope any sort of comment works here. I love the idea, but I do not own any of those other books. I know nothing about them and it seems a little unfair to spend $40 odd on books to get a free preview. I get that Orbit is promooting others books and that's awesome. It just seems like an expensive promotion.

Sigh, June 1st (or May 22 isn't THAT far)

I know this is orbits promotion Seanan and I'm not grumbling at you, I get why they are doing it, and like I said the germ of it is actually a kind of cool idea.

That took longer than I like to think about. But holy cow well worth the effort. May 22nd is way too (to?) far away.
