InCryptid: the beat goes on.

It is with extreme pleasure and with no small degree of squeaky joy that I announce that the next three InCryptid books have been acquired by DAW Books. I KNOW RIGHT?! The next three books are:

Half-Off Ragnarok
Pocket Apocalypse
Professional Gore-eography

Cryptids and cuckoos and field guides, oh my! Words really can't express how insanely happy I am right now. I'm going to be working with the same team at DAW, which means I know I will have great editorial, fantastic in-house support, and a whole lot of sheer bonus fun. I'm so excited that this story gets to continue; you get to meet more of the family, and see where things go next. You get to hang out with Alex! And go to Australia! And and and...

And now, in the words of the Aeslin mice...

Yay! Congratulations! I know you wanted very badly to get beyondtwo books in this series, so good news indeed. I sense a certain theme in the titles. *snort* Though, gore-eography?

And hopefully, CHEESECAKE! Three cheers and a round of cyber-champagne for everyone in the virtual room. DISCOUNT ARMAGEDDON was the book that made me smile this month, and that means more than I can say. I can't wait to read HALF-OFF RAGNAROK. I mean what girl doesn't love a good sale...and shoes? *sigh*

I just finished Discount Armageddon yesterday, on my way from from FKO, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I saw the cover flat at the con, and was a bit surprised to see the Sales Point: "The first book in a new urban fantasy series featuring cryptids, creatures whose existence has been suggested but deemed unlikely, and social worker Verity Price". I know that your own comments have described her as a "part-time cryptid social worker" but I think that the marketing blurb gives a rather misleading impression of her profession. :-)
