Cryptids and cuckoos and field guides, oh my! Words really can't express how insanely happy I am right now. I'm going to be working with the same team at DAW, which means I know I will have great editorial, fantastic in-house support, and a whole lot of sheer bonus fun. I'm so excited that this story gets to continue; you get to meet more of the family, and see where things go next. You get to hang out with Alex! And go to Australia! And and and...
And now, in the words of the Aeslin mice...
CHEESE! AND! CAKE!

After reading Discount Armageddon, my friend and I agreed that I really needed a tribe of Aeslin mice to cheer me on while writing my undergrad thesis, because what could make needing to write a thesis less draining than being cheered every time I wrote something? (My thesis consists of writing code, finding the errors, making it run right, and analyzing the results. The error finding is the tedious part.) So for my birthday last month, my friend knit me a little mouse with a blue cape, and it sits next to my computer as I write. :D I'm going to post a picture as soon as I take one, but since I was commenting about Incryptid books, I thought you might be amused.

The Boy just started reading Discount Armageddon, and he already can't wait to read more with the Aeslin Mice.

I'm slowly reading Discount Armageddon, and ... I just have to say, I love you and your writing and your imagination. Never stop.
