I tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone, but though you're still with me, I've been alone...

I need a nap. Really, that's about it, apart from my flailing a lot and hoping that I can do some laundry before I get on the road again. Did I mention the flailing? Oh, the flailing. Delicious, exhausted flailing.

I do love that song.
Me, too.
Velveteen vs

ooh lots of things to look forwards to! I recently saw several different versions of the orig Velveteen Rabbit book on sale, and had the overwhelming impulse to buy the larger one, and then print out the Velveteen stories and "make" a book with them inserted onto pages.. one story per page, and then alter the cover a bit.. I did get over it, mostly because I dont alter books.. and I then justified it by saying you would have more Vel stories than that book would have pages.. it was a near thing it was..
Hee.
Massachusetts, eh? And Maine? You will probably be going right next to our town between those if you drive! (Hm. If you go through Newington, NH, the Great Buffet II is a pretty nifty Chinese Buffet place, and there are some decent chain restaurants around the area (Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, Olive Garden). If you cut through Dover on any days but a Monday or Sunday, Cafe Ciabatta has awesome yummy lunch-and-desserts (their chai beats all other chais hollow), Saigon & Tokyo has Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese food and is extremely yummy, while the Fish Shanty is Fish and Greek food. (Plus the chains: the 99, Applebee's, Uno's, Chili's, Pizza Hut. Downtown also has an Indian (India, not Native American) restaurant, and enough pizza places to choke a horse or six.) )

I hope you have fun in the vague vicinity of our neck of the woods!
I am excited!

They are, but I prefer Jeni's. :)
It is very tempting to try and get to Pittsburgh while you are there...I love cons and I love your books and one of my boyfriends (He actually introduced me to your Toby and Mira Grant books and now my boyfriend in Buffalo and I are totally addicted to your writing) lives there with his wife....Oh the temptation might just be too great. :)
You should!
Random, but triggered by the above post - We had much fun late last week with the "what crazy things would you do if you won the gazillion dollar lottery?" question.

One of my favorites was: DO ALL THE CONS!!!! :-)
(buy ALL THE BOOKS!! was already taken by the time I got to the conversation)
After ALL THE CONS, I would have to take ALL THE NAPS.
Hoping we can snag you for an hour or so when you are in Verity's stomping ground, but we know you are coming here for business and understand if you can't escape from the snares of the publishing industry.
We are so having dinner, dude.
The bright side is that after April you're free and clear until July and Convention season. The cats get you all to theirselves for 2 whole months.
They are going to be VERY PLEASED.
Where are you appearing in NY?
Nowhere official yet; it's a business trip.

Damn I wish I could make it to one of those cons.
Aw.
I don't know how you do it all, Seanan, I relaly don't. I'm terribly glad you do though, as I am quite fond of all your creative works!

Do try to squeeze ina little rest int here, huh? Maybe a nap on an airplane or something?
I sleep very deeply and well on airplanes.
I'm with you on the nap thing. This past week has consisted of two business trips flanking a Springsteen concert.
...ow.
I was actually in Seattle, in the damn convention center while you were. I was at the other convention (NCECA) that was wrapping up as ECCC was kicking off. Sadly, I had no idea ECCC was that weekend (bad nerd girl!!), and hadn't made any arrangements to attend both (which would have made my Seattle visit truly epic.)

Just out of curiosity, the Maine/Massachusetts/New York mention... Are there scheduled appearances, or are you just wandering through? Because those put you in my actual neck of the woods (Rhode Island is home for the moment) and I'd absolutely love an opportunity to worship at your goddess like feet.
I'm just wandering through right now, but we may be setting up a few events. It's all up in the air, and I promise to keep people posted.

My feet are usually pretty muddy, especially in the woods in the springtime...
I am intrigued by "In Sea Salt Tears".
So am I.
