Review and interview roundup.

Now is the time on Sprockets where we continue trying to murder the link file, in part because the remains of this cold have left me cotton-headed and glassy-eyed. Now is not the time for deep thoughts. Now is the time for links and listlessness. And so...

Look! It's the Salon Futura interview I recorded immediately after winning the Campbell! Just in case you were starting to think I was exaggerating about the size of this file. Sniff. I miss my tiara...

And here's another interview, this time with Fantasy Faction. There were some interesting capitalization and punctuation choices made in the transcription of this interview. Read it, and marvel!

The Guilded Earlobe did seven questions with Mira Grant. Thrill as I defend zombies as being for everybody, not just for the boys, and explain why I should have a tank. You think I should have a tank, don't you?

The wonderful Kenda at Lurv ala Mode had me stop by to explain a bit about surviving Faerie; I may eventually use this format again, because it was disturbingly fun. Seriously. Best guest post ever.

Oh, right, I promised you some reviews. Here's Fantasy Faction's review of Feed, which says, "To be blunt, I find Feed to be one of the best novels about zombies that I have ever read." Moving on! To...

The Fantasy Faction review of Deadline, which says, "I don't think that Grant should have done anything differently with Deadline. This book was amazing, and an excellent continuation of the Newsflesh trilogy. I know that I will be reading this book, and Feed, again before Blackout releases next year. Probably a few times, if I'm to be honest. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of the story, but at the same time I'm so sad for it to come to an end."

I am, too.

And that ends this roundup.

I think you should have a tank until you move to WA. Then I'm not so certain.
But I'd bring my tank with me, silly.

You should totally have a tank, and I don't have to even read the link to know that! O:D
Yay!
Of course you should have a tank! You deserve a tank! How can you defend us from the zombie hordes if you don't have a tank?
Why is it her job to defend us from the zombie hordes?

If you have a tank, you'll be distracted from your killer virus laboratory. So, the question is, do you already have an experiment running there that needs your monitoring so it doesn't become sapient and escape, or is that the project you were getting started next week?
Ooooooooooo, good point...
Tank as in vehicle with a turret? Tank as in container of something, such as sharks with lasers on their heads? Tank as in someone to be sick or injured in your place?

Maybe all of the above.... nah, I'm not sure you'd want a self-mobile turreted container of laser-headed sharks with the flu. It might distress the cats.
Or it might make them VERY HAPPY.
I agree. I dare say you NEED a tank!
Yay!

I guess I am the lone dissenting voice here. You shouldn't have a tank, you should have an APC. More room for cats, books, your Monster High and My Little Pony collections, computer, Diet Dr. Pepper, and whatever other fuel is necessary to keep you writing, while still having enough heft to grind zombies into wet smears on the ground and weapons sufficient to reach out and touch them from long distance. But if you do have a tank, flechette rounds for the main gun would be more effective than depleted uranium. Unless the zombies also have a tank.

I admit, I have no good counter-argument to the benefit of being able to make Tank Girl jokes.
Better to have a tank than ED-209...

Regarding another person's comment: You're moving to WA? I feel like I should do some incredibly girlie squealing, right about now! :D

That aside: Thank you for linking to my reviews on Fantasy-Faction! I've alraedy called dibs on doing the review for BLACKOUT, too, so I'm just impatiently waiting for June to arrive...

Also: Tanks are totally awesome. They get things done.
Awesome! You do great reviews. :)

Tanks are best.
Just got Discount Armageddon as a surprise 'congratulations on your promotion' present (along with Troubletones and My Little Pony/Doctor Who shirts, so it is in excellent company). I can't read it until the weekend, but I am already incredibly excited. :D
Yay!
Of course you should have a tank. I just got a helicopter gunship; you should get a tank.
A tank of what, I dunno.
Bah!
...no, darling. I love you and I think you are fabulous and I think you deserve good things, but I do not want you to have a tank.
Aw.

Ooh, someone could start the 'Buy Seanan a Tank' Kickstarter...
Best. Plan. EVER.
