DISCOUNT ARMAGEDDON, in stores now!

As I am making this post, I am realizing that it's one of the last times I'll have the awesome Discount Armageddon cover icon as my default. It always changes to reflect my upcoming book, and DA isn't the new baby anymore. It's a bittersweet feeling. I'm so excited to have this book out in the world, and yet.

And yet.

I've been doing lots to get ready for this book release. I've been giving interviews—one with Chuck Wendig, at Terrible Minds, wherein I say "fuck" a lot, and one at My Bookish Ways, wherein I say "fuck" substantially less. (The My Bookish Ways interview is in conjunction with a giveaway, open to international entries. Just saying.) I've been distributing ARCs and author copies. I've been hyperventilating.

Okay, I've actually been hyperventilating a lot. Because starting a new series is scary, and introducing the world to a whole new cast of characters is scary, and a whole lot of things involved with this book are scary, and I am generally just a frozen ball of fear.

But the book is out now. In both physical and electronic editions, and you can order it at will. I'm going to swing by Borderlands and sign pre-ordered copies after I get off work, and then I'm going to go to Kate's and eat Indian and maybe demand a trip to Toys R Us.

Acquired on Kindle today. Read (devoured)it. Not doing well with words today, but love love love it. Snarky! And kickass! *grin* (Want more, of course...)

I went to buy your book at Powells today. They didn't have it--but they promised it would be in soon. I told them I wanted it right away so they are bringing a copy in from their distributor for me this week, they said, and they will call me.

Instead, I bought two toby daye books I hadn't gotten around to yet and also Deathless. All new, all powells. Good day.

Picked up one copy from Kindle and one physical copy from a non-B&N brick and mortar store.

Just wish I could get out to Borderlands for a signed copy. But we'll just have to have you sign our physical copy the next time we see you.

Good luck with the sales, and hopefully we can counteract the stores that shipped early, and still get this one on the NYT Bestseller list!

Dang, and dang, and dang.
I went off all happy to get it at Other Change of Hobbit, and they can't sell it to me!!!!!
They have some kind of dire city permit trouble going on.
With a fundraiser happening on maybe the 18th?
("How does the city expect them to pay a bill if they can't sell books?" asks Tom, sagely.)
Am unhappy.
Tomorrow I will go bag a reading copy at Dark Carnival, but am worrying and worrying and worrying.
(AND have no wonderful new book to hide from the taxes with tonight.)

Ordered my copy this morning. But since I can't wait until next week to read it, and I'm going to have to wrestle the kid for a first read anyway, I'm picking up a copy on Friday, too. LOL, since she went to college, I'm buying two copies of your books anyway. =o)

RELEASE DAY!!!!

The first thing I did this morning when I woke up my computer to check email before heading in to work, was open my browser and go to bn.com to buy my epub version of Discount Armageddon!!!

I'm about 100 pages in and very much enjoying!

Purchased from brick & mortar store in my area, sadly not Borderlands. The reading gets to wait, due to being a busy, busy student (20 unit credits in a quarter, what was I thinking? Oh yeah, I want to graduate this school year....).

Aquired copy at local Barnes and Noble before work. The book was neither in SF/F nor in the new books display. However, when I approached the help desk, to wait for someone to show up so that I could ask for one, I fond a stack of them sitting on the counter. Mission accomplished. Now to go read it.
