Hey, what's that at #8 on the Barnes and Noble Book Club list of the best paranormal fantasy releases of 2011? Is it Late Eclipses? Why yes, I do believe that it is.

And what's that at #19 on Ranting Dragon's best fantasy releases of 2011? Is it Deadline? Again, yes, I do believe that it is. Both my personalities get the love!

Meanwhile, over at Chicks With Crossbows, there's some Tybalt-hunting funny business going on. Now, I don't know whether I'd go looking for Tybalt, since if I found him, I might also find Toby, and she might be annoyed about me bothering her resident Cait Sidhe monarch, but I'm glad someone took the risk! Totally hysterical.

Oh, and also, what's that appearing on both best of 2011 lists? Toby books and Newsflesh books, oh, my!

And those are today's links. Real content later.

Why did you start using a pseudonym? I'm just curious because isn't it confusing to keep up with two names? And if people know that one name is your pseudonym name (I see it mentioned quite often), is it still useful? Recently I heard a story that a Dutch male author, who was also writing under a female pseudonym, was invited for a prize ceremony with both his own name and his pseudonym name... (unfortunately I'm not sure anymore what his name was >.<)

From Ye Olde FAQ:
Q: Why are you Mira Grant?

A: I wanted a pseudonym for my science fiction because I wanted to create some "distance" between it and my urban fantasy work. Mostly, I wanted people to judge the Mira Grant books on their own merits, not based on how much they read like something they'd expect me to write. I believe this was the right decision, and I've been very happy with my life as Mira Grant.
Thank you! I didn't know there was a FAQ on her site.
