I try to think about hairdos, tattoos, sushi bars and saxophones.

This is absolutely the worst January cold I have had in years. I do not like it, I do not want it, and I am very, very tired of throwing up. And now that we've got that out of the way, I am actually getting some work done, largely by keeping a bucket next to my desk. Imperfect, but sometimes imperfect solutions are all that we have.

Here is the current shape of my 2012, with travel dates and everything. Beautiful travel dates. Hope to see you sometime in the months to come.

First and most important, {{{feel better}}}

Second, not sure if you have been following the news but I bet you are glad you are not currently domiciled up in the PNW. And also Conflikt is in two weeks. All of the accumulated snow/ice should be gone by then.

Although Seattle proper only has about 2,200 customers without power, PSE is currently estimating about 300K customers without power. And the freezing rain/snow mix isn't giving up just yet. In other words-be glad you are missing the whole Snomaggedon/Icepocalypse thing we have going on up here.
Dude, it's such a mess. I haven't been to work in 2 days because I live at the top of Queen Anne. *Seattle solidarity fistbump* Luckily I still have power. Hope you're doing okay. It's disgusting out there.
Thanks-I actually live down in Tacoma and work down on the Tideflats. I worked a half day yesterday and stayed home today.

Luckily Tacoma Power only has about 7,000 customers out and so far *crosses fingers* so good. I've flickered a couple of times though.

I can't believe i am about to say this but I hope it warms up to 40 degrees and starts raining cats and dogs. It'll melt this stuff that much faster.

*fistbump*

Hope you keep power.
I live in South Beacon Hill, on Beacon Road, in the area specifically not with buses. (really, if you look up the 106 bus it does not in fact run past my area; I'd have to walk to the light rail, or about 3/4s of a mile to the north.)

If I wasn't unemployed I'd be screwed.
I am impressed by the weather that's going on up there, that's for damn sure!
