I try to think about hairdos, tattoos, sushi bars and saxophones.

This is absolutely the worst January cold I have had in years. I do not like it, I do not want it, and I am very, very tired of throwing up. And now that we've got that out of the way, I am actually getting some work done, largely by keeping a bucket next to my desk. Imperfect, but sometimes imperfect solutions are all that we have.

Here is the current shape of my 2012, with travel dates and everything. Beautiful travel dates. Hope to see you sometime in the months to come.

Parasitology? Sounds like Mira Grant is on the case :-)
AggieCon, March 23-25, Austin TX

I think this is a typo; AggieCon is held in College Station. It's ArmadilloCon that's held in Austin, and it's in July this year.
Ooops. Fixed!
Whoa, crazy busy year you've got. I'm so looking forward to Blackout. The end of Deadline blew my brain to bits. Tiny bits.

I'm going to Emerald City Comic Con too. Never been, despite living in Seattle for nearly a decade, so I'm really excited.
Yay!

I am feeling much better. The Great Pumpkin is kind. :)
Lists like this are very helpful; I can check my preorders against it. (Ashes of Honor isn’t on the Nook horizon just yet.)
Awesome.
Hope you feel better sooner than soon.

I see I have books to add to my order list. And you'll be at WFC! Hooray!!
Great Pumpkin willing and the creek don't rise!
Sounds a bit like you have the norovirus that was making the rounds of the country? (Well, the local two states, plus large chunks of Arisia, plus -- yesterday -- my kid. Who has not yet thrown up, thankfully.)

I hope you feel better soon!

(Three books in one year! DAW, especially, better appreciate you!)
My publishers are wonderful. :)
First and most important, {{{feel better}}}

Second, not sure if you have been following the news but I bet you are glad you are not currently domiciled up in the PNW. And also Conflikt is in two weeks. All of the accumulated snow/ice should be gone by then.

Although Seattle proper only has about 2,200 customers without power, PSE is currently estimating about 300K customers without power. And the freezing rain/snow mix isn't giving up just yet. In other words-be glad you are missing the whole Snomaggedon/Icepocalypse thing we have going on up here.
Dude, it's such a mess. I haven't been to work in 2 days because I live at the top of Queen Anne. *Seattle solidarity fistbump* Luckily I still have power. Hope you're doing okay. It's disgusting out there.

Awesome. :)
I will see you at Chicon! I was kinda hoping to see you at Arisia again this year, but understand that might've been a bit nutty for your schedule.

Bring on the ARC contests for Blackout? I am so there. At least, I hope to continue to be checking LJ enough to be there, now that I'm starting a new new job ... ;)
There won't be any, I'm afraid. As with Deadline, I will not have ARCs of Blackout.
Feel better!
Thank you!
On any of the Seattle-area stuff: is anything you're doing at said cons AFTER 5 pm? (Long story short: working weekends occasionally bites. ;)
Um...not that I know of?
"Velveteen vs. The Fright Night Sorority House Massacre Sleepover Camp, Part III."

Oh god, my hallucinations are coming true after all.
This is YOUR FAULT.

Besides, you know I have trouble resisting you. I always have.
I hope you feel better soon. Ugh to throwing up, just ugh! I know you don't like it either.
Not. At. All.
I hope you get well swiftly, colds suck.

Thanks for posting your appearance list. We're looking forward to seeing you at Consonance. We'll be without Josh for the con as my brother and his girlfriend have offered to take Josh for the weekend, and we're not foolish enough to turn down an offer like that from people we trust. I've added the March 17th Borderlands appearance to our calendar, so hopefully you'll see all of us there.
Hooray!

I will bring Josh's penguin to the Borderlands event; that way, you have a built-in "thing for him to chew on."
Feel better! (Sending virtual pumpkin soup.)

And looking at that schedule, by the time you get done with March, the cats may not speak to you for all of April!

Sad but true.
The 2nd Velveteen looks interesting. Love the Discount Armageddon pic avatar, too.
For Emerald City Comicon, are you going to have your own both or will you just be floating around?
Floating.
