In which Seanan apologizes for being confusing.

So I made a post about FOGcon and why it is awesome last week, and people seem very excited, and that's fabulous, because I really want this convention to do well. But somehow "here is this con, you should go" got read by quite a few people as "because I will be there." And sadly, I won't be. FOGcon is the same weekend as the Emerald City Comic Convention in Seattle, and I'm already committed to heading up into the green.

Please, please, if you're local, consider FOGcon as an awesome way to spend your weekend, and I'm super sorry if my original post was misleading to you in any way. I was just trying to help out a friend who had asked me to post, and it honestly wasn't my intention to confuse anyone.

English is hard. Let's have strawberry ice cream.

Don't like ice cream. I'll make some chocolate-and-raspberry pavlova, if you want.
That works for me!
I like strawberry ice cream a lot, which is why I don't buy it. My wife did yesterday though, and it took all my strength of will not to scarf up the large container in one sitting.
I feel your pain.
!!! But the good news is that you'll be at ECCC! Does that mean you'll have a table or will you just be fan?
Just a fan, blessedly. I intend to wander and shop, those being my favorite things to do at a comic book convention. And probably arrange a signing.
I'll be happy with a signing! :) I spread Toby love this past holiday season so it might be more than me showing up...
Ok, I read this as "arrange a singing," which would be awesome too. I'm imagining you caroling through the halls with things like "Dear Gina."

And FWIW, I didn't read your post as "...'cause I'll be there" but just as "hey look at neat stuff here." Maybe I'm looking for clue-by-fours, but you never said it was awesome because you are, but awesome because they are.
I tend to do that anyway...
Peppermint. And I have to get on with the making of it.

I've also forwarded the FOGcon info to the AOD group - it looks like they are doing now what the AOD group is being leveraged hard to do next year, which is leave the city. Let's hope they talk and can share tips, tricks and so on.

It's good info - and thanks again for sharing it.
No trouble.
English is hard because it so many damn exceptions to its own rules. Examples: anal, banal, canal -- they don't rhyme. Food, good, hood, mood -- they don't rhyme either.
If you haven't read this already, I highly recommend it... out loud!

The Chaos by Gerard Nolst Trenité
Sad but true.
English is hard stough.
I've heard it said enuff.
I feel so much better about my reading comprehension, because I knew what you meant. Usually stuff goes sailing right over my head.

But I'll take some strawberry ice cream, anyway. :)
ICE CREAM FOR ALL!
I like to use strawberry ice cream to make root beer floats.
How...interesting.
Am now happily imaging Communication by Ice Cream.
Like the Victorians with flowers.
Only, you know, ice cream.
It will require much research to match up flavors and messages.
Ooooooo.

Delicious research.
