Short story publication: "Uncle Sam."

I am very pleased to (somewhat belatedly) announce that I have sold a short story to The Edge of Propinquity, the very same electronic magazine which once upon a time published my Sparrow Hill Road serial (oh, let me tell you about Rose Marshall...). I'm so pleased to be a part of this publication again, even if it's only for a visit, and not for keeps.

So it is without further ado that I tell you to go forth and read about Uncle Sam, the founding of America, why girls go to the bathroom in groups, and how Chinese restaurants can save your life, if you let them.

"Uncle Sam."

Enjoy.

....you actually sort of freaked me out. :D
Yay!
Creeeeeepyyyyy....

I have always scoffed at going to the bathroom in groups. Hmmm... ;)
Then you're lucky to be alive!
Shared about, if you don't mind extra eyeballs. ;)
Not at all.
That was both really good and something I really shouldn't have read right before bed.
Hee.
That was a great Halloween present!
Yay!
I knew there was a reason I liked Chinese restaurants... and that "girls pee in packs" was relevant to more than just Rape Escape.

Very creepy; and now I have to go do the night shift by myself at the hotel where I work. *grin*
Enjoy!
EEEE YAY THIS STORY

*marks to read later when it is not the middle of the night*
Good plan.
As if public bathrooms needed to be more creepy.
Dang.
Um, so...
Does reading the story do the same thing as hearing it?
She asks nervously.
I hope not.
Oh my God.
Being a geek, I also recognized the name "Samael" from "Hellboy." He was not pleasant there, either.
Nooooooooooooooooooo.

He rarely is.

Utterly creepy. I wish there were more stories attached to it! Still fantastic standalone.
Oh, and it casts a whole new light on my local theater bathroom. I've always found it innately creepy. It's a little too dim, and a little too quiet for being wedged between two cinemas, and it always has this eerie chill, as though some unspeakable horror occurred there.

...Now I want to write a suitable horror to explain it. Though Uncle Sam visiting would make a lot of sense.
I kinda like it when something is actually short. It's so novel for me!
Creepy! I like it. :)
Thanks!
That is so much creepier when you work in a city (Troy, NY) that boasts, "The birthplace of Uncle Sam!" as you're driving in. There's a statue, a parade, even a local chocolatier. I'm also told there's a gravestone, but I'm not one to tromp through old graveyards to look.
VICTORY.

REminds me of a deal in one of the old Buck Godot strips. Deals like that kind of seem like a bad idea, when you look back, don't they?
Yup.
Now I'm hearing someone declaiming "Samael" to the rhythm of "Sam I Am" from "Green Eggs And Ham."

Brava!
YAY.
