Restocking RED ROSES AND DEAD THINGS.

Because people have been asking:

CD Baby is out of Red Roses and Dead Things, my mad science/horror theme album. I am mailing the restock for them today. If their normal cycle applies in this case (sometimes they're faster, sometimes they're slower), the CDs should be available on the website in about eight days. They're only asking for sixteen copies right now, so if you've been waiting for this album to be available again, you should probably watch the website.

Because people have also been asking:

There are now fewer than two hundred copies of Red Roses and Dead Things remaining. I will probably do a second printing of this one, because it's managed to sell out so fast, but that will have to wait until I have the money to do it (something which could take a while). If you wanted to get a copy, "sooner" is probably a better idea than "later."

Related:

Stars Fall Home is currently out of print. There are not currently any plans to reprint the album any time in the immediate future. It is not available as a download. I do not know of any filk dealers with stock at this time.

Pretty Little Dead Girl: Seanan McGuire and Friends Live at OVFF 2005 is about three hundred copies away from going out of print. This is the only currently available album with the songs "Sycamore Tree" and "Pretty Little Dead Girl."

Wicked Girls is about two hundred copies from selling out its first printing. This one will definitely be reprinted, but I have no way of saying exactly when, or how many copies will be in the second run.

Most filk dealers have copies of my currently in-print albums; CD Baby has, or will have, copies available via their website.

Administration is hard. Let's have strawberry ice cream.

Yay! I will have a strawberry popsicle made with real fruit, with no added sugar or dairy, because I am on a nefarious detox cleanse determined to remove from my diet everything I love. But they have the aforementioned strawberry popsicles at Big Gay Ice Cream, so I shall be triumphant!

W00t for people giving Seanan money in exchange for awesome musics!
Yay, Popsicle!
We sold our last two copies of Stars Fall Home at the Serenity charity event this weekend. It's good to know that the music's not available for download, because people were asking about "Evil Laugh" after Vixy & Tony covered it.
vixyish announced on stage that "Evil Laugh" and "Paper Moon" were on Stars Fall Home, two copies of which were at the merch table. I boomed "Isn't that out of print?" from the sound board. Several folks immediately exited the auditorium to rush to the merch table.

Hee, awesome.
Unrelated to this post, just wanted you to know that 1) I've reviewed the stage adaptation of Newsies on my LJ, and 2) I quoted you in it.
That's...

...kinda awesome.
Phew, I was lucky there. I ordered "Red Roses and Dead Things" (and "Pretty Little Dead Girl") about a month ago and they arrived yesterday (I live in Germany).
Needless to say, they are awesome, although "Wicked Girls" still remains my favourite.
Now if I only could get my hands on "Stars Fall Home"...
Good luck to you!
I understand why you can't offer digital downloads on new cds that haven't paid back the cost of making them but will you release them onto mp3 once they have done that and it no longer makes sense to reprint?
No.

I don't have contracts that would allow for including the cover songs in that format, and I'm not willing to make the albums available in that format. Also, I'm not currently a "seller" on iTunes or whatnot, and I don't want to deal with their tax paperwork. At the same time, we went to CD Baby (as opposed to direct sales) so I wouldn't go insane. So managing the downloads myself is out.

When the physical disks are gone, they're gone.

I only discovered your music recently, my wife and I love the copy of Wicked Girls that we got off you at Worldcon, and we've also got a copy of the live album. I'll have to see if I can get Red Roses and Dead Things while I still can. We're hooked.
The CD Baby restock has been shipped, so hopefully it'll be available soon!
I find myself looking possessively at my copies of these CDs. And experiencing a vague temptation to order more, you know, just in case.
Hee. I shan't argue.
Your songs have eaten
the brains
that were in
my skull

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive them
brains were delicious
so soft
and so warm

In other news, I might have played my copy of Stars Fall Home to death.

I am inexplicably happy that you can update us with 'mwahahaha sold out mwahaha' which is not a common thing for a filk artist.

Also, Evil Laugh happily plays me into my biochemistry lab class on a ridiculously regular basis. And then I get to put acid on things. Science is exciting!

That is all. Carry on!

Carrying!
My strawberry frozen treat was mochi from Trader Joe's. Yum.
Excellent.
Just finished One Salt Sea w/tears running down my cheeks. Well done.
Thank you.
Yaay strawberry ice cream! Even more yaay for selling out - I cuddle my copies of all cd's possessively, as we were smart enough to get all that were available from you at Anticipation a couple years ago. Will have to check the holiday gift list to see if there is anyone else who needs your cd's to whom we have not already given them. My 8 year old nephew adores "Evil Laugh" to a degree that is somewhat disturbing.....

And although it is off topic, thank you for One Salt Sea. Just finished very early this morning and despite the snuffling, I did love it. You always manage to go in just a little different direction than I expect - it is part of what passes for charm with you!
Very welcome!
I adore One Salt Sea. I had to read it really fast so Phil could get it next, and besides who can sleep when near the end of a book like that?

Seanan's books are the only ones that are always on the top of the reading pile, while those below gather dust.
HOMG, SEANAN!! "IT" shirt on Teefury today!!

Also, While up in Portland on vacation I traversed Powell's books, which if you haven't been there then I don't know what this world is coming to! It's amazing!! I snagged their only 3 copies of One Salt Sea for myself and my sister and mom. They said that was good because then they would have to reorder and that would show up in the numbers, so YAY!

Also I inhaled mine and it was delicious. Very inspiring, sad, wonderful, and really engrossing!
YAY SHIRT!

I've signed the column at Powell's, my dear one.

I dug through four boxes of CDs to find Red Roses and Dead Things, because it wasn't in my iTunes and I was positive I owned it. Sure enough, I hadn't imported it because iTunes didn't give me the track info. Fixed, and now I have all four albums available for the listening. Muhahahahaha.

Also, I'll see your strawberry ice cream and raise you some Izzy's strawberry ice cream. (I keep buying it at Seward Co-op. Izzy's is so good - you're right!)
Yes. Yes, I was.

I DEMAND FROZEN TREATS.
