To celebrate the release of One Salt Sea, here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

I'm glad you liked the book, but I didn't cheat. :) As catsittingstill says, it's that changelings can't be allowed to run free in the human world without considering themselves part of Faerie. Gillian being turned human and then made to forget the things she should have seen is basically what happened with Katie in book three. She's not a changeling being returned to the human world; she's a human girl who once intersected with Faerie. But that was in another time, and the past is a different country.
