This was amazing.

I feel like the scenes with Gilly weren't long enough. It felt like it was over very quickly with her. I loved Toby seeing the full fae and full human versions of her, and also getting to smell what her magic would have been.

I thought I saw Toby's magic being described as only copper-smelling now, and then suddenly it was cut grass and copper again. I may have misunderstood.

Will we ever find out who Amandine's mother is?

As soon as we knew that a) Roanes and Selkies could both be seals, b) that the Roane were mostly extinct, and c) that the Luidaeg's doors were not welcoming to Selkies, I guessed that their skins were stolen. That was a marvelous bit of arrangement there. Painful, and marvelous. I am eager to see where that is going.

How many Firstborn have lived an one point or another?

I adored Danny's talking to the rocks. Raysel's "diary" was also one of my favorite parts.

Why would Luna taking the kitsune shape affect the balance of her child's blood?

I just had a thought... if Toby and Tybalt had a child together...I'm curious how a human/Dochas Sidhe/Cait Sidhe changeling would turn out.

More cohesive thoughts may occur later. All I can say is "...wow. That was amazing."
To the last question, we have limited info, but I would think not well. When Tybalt takes Toby into the Kingdom of Cats in Late Eclipses he states it's the first time a "child of Oberon" has been there since he became King. So unless Amandine's mother turns out to be a common progenitor with the Caith Sidhe, it'd be mixed blood and all the yuck that often goes with it.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I thought about too :) It's too bad, because I think Toby would like more children at some point. Then again, she might well be able to "fix" that problem, particularly in her own offspring.
Unless, of course, "child of Oberon" simply means any fae who isn't Cait Sidhe. In which case, disregard the above :)
The Cait Sidhe have parentage with all three: Maeve, Oberon, AND Titania.
Thank you!
Remember that most races are "claimed" by one of the Three. The Cait Sidhe are the only major unclaimed race; Oberon is technically the boss of them, but they didn't listen to him even when he was around, and they don't consider themselves children of Oberon.
How very . . . feline.

(I just saw the "Toby's cats" card on your site and just about died.)
So does that mean that part Cait Sidhe cross breeds are more or less crazy?
Not telling.
Who can tell with cats anyway?
