Hugo voting: a final reminder.

Today is July 31st; voting for the 2011 Hugo Awards closes today.

The details on the awards can be found here; you must be an attending or supporting member of Renovation to vote. And yes, at this point, it's probably too late to buy a membership just so you can vote.

As anyone seeing this post is probably aware, Feed is up for this year's Best Novel Award. And yes, I would like to win. Who wouldn't? But more, I would like to look at the voting results when all is said and done and go "wow, we had a record voter turn out; more members of the community shared their opinions than ever before, and most of them thought that X, or Y, or Z was a better book than mine." I mean. I want the Hugo. Who gets nominated for one of these things and doesn't want it? If I win, I will have Kate knit little hats for it, and probably carry it around for a month, just so everyone can see it. I will take pictures of my Hugo in ridiculous places. But I want whoever gets the Hugo to get it fairly, and because everyone voted.

If you have the right to vote in this particular pool, please, remember that today is your cutoff. If you want to influence the 2011 Hugo Awards, this is where it has to happen.

Thank you.

David and I voted last night.
Yay!
fingers crossed for you and the Hugos!
Let the weeks of not sleeping COMMENCE!
I voted! I did it late last night, because I'd been putting off the long editor category. I don't know from editors, and while whoever included the list of what they worked on this time is brilliant and needs a prize for coming up with the single most obvious useful thing EVER since the voting packet itself, it didn't help much because I'd read maybe five books total out of all of them.

Eventually I went to amazon and read the first chapters of everything with a Kindle edition and threw a couple of darts. I dunno. There's gotta be a better way.
Agreed.
Got mine in last Tuesday. And my Pegasus nom-nom-nominations last Sunday.
Yay!
Vote's in. If I actually watch Toy Story 3 in the next couple of hours, I'll resubmit with an added vote for Best Dramatic Presentation -- Long Form, but it's not the way to bet (and I really can't honorably vote in that category without having seen it).
Now that voting is closed, I can say that I really hope How to Train Your Dragon breaks the "Pixar is the best" mentality, and takes home a rocket ship.

Voted.
You are a responsible citizen.
My vote has been in for a little while. I would have voted even earlier, but I had to read everything and while Connie Willis wrote a fine book in Blackout/All Clear Lordy that is a door stopper of a book and took some time to get through.
You could, in fact, use it to kill a man.

This is the first time I voted, went in as a supporting member and discovered an entire world of sci-fi fun I have never known before!

I'm already thinking about planning for Chicon 7.

Thanks for all the Hugo Award promoting, I'm a new member! :D
Awesome! I love the Hugo voter's packet. It's like a magical gift of glorious reading.
I registered and voted today. *whew* done.
Yay!
I voted, which means I get to complain loudly if my choices don't win :)
True!
