Today is Thomas's first birthday! Yes. One year ago precisely, Thomas Price Lynn Rhymer Taylor McGuire was unleashed upon the world by Betsy Tinney at Pinecoon Maine Coons, who was kind enough to then let him come and live with me. In honor of his birthday, Thomas has been brushed, cooed over, given treats, and didn't get yelled at for sleeping on the counter.
He's beautiful! He reminds me of my Gus quite a bit (though, considering that yours is from an excellent breeder and not a 'free to a good home' rescue, likely without all the fun health issues and behavioral issues from severe neglect).
Now I'm torn that the next cat (should I get one in the coming years) being another tortie (I'm a sucker for the coloring) or looking to get a Maine Coon.
I was amazed at the fact that MC's seem to keep growing and growing and growing. *looks over at Roarke* At least he finally grew into his ginormus paws.
You live with two yeti, actually. Two very silly, lovable yeti that love to plug the tub drain and go for a swim when it's hot and open doors. Ah, the joy of cats. ;D Happy first birthday to Thomas and may there be many, many more.
It's important to remember pets birthdays, they so often get forgotten and they give us so much. Many happy returns to Thomas and hope he totally enjoyed his special day.
He's so cute! We adopted a Maine Coon last week. (He's four, so pretty much hit his full growth and will just be filling out.) I already don't know how we lived without him.
Happy Birthday Thomas Price Lynn Rhymer Taylor McGuire!
Happy (belated) birthday to the yeti known as Thomas! I look forward to many years of stories about and photos.
My husband and I made a pact not to get another cat until the last of our three is gone. I keep trying to convince him that we should get a Maine Coon (or two) when the time comes, but he's only met one who was a bit of a wild thing (and not in a good way) and is dubious. The first one I met was a used bookstore cat who used to greet customers either inside or outside of the front door, and it was love at first sight for me. Hopefully I'll wear my husband down!

he is so very, very cute.
And I am in envy of your bookcase. I can never find one that has shelves just big enough for a paperback. They seem to all be hardback sized.
