Second ARC contest results!

To the surprise of absolutely no one, and despite strong showings by poodles and doll collections, the winner of the second ARC of One Salt Sea is ladyaraia and her massive group photo recreation of book three! Congratulations, and please get me your contact information by Sunday evening, through the form on my website, or another winner will be selected.

Thanks to everyone who participated, and I'll be opening the next contest on Monday.

Congrats to the winner!! It was a pretty epic photoshoot. :)

I can't wait for the next contest. I'm 45% done Late Eclipses and need more Toby.
Also, I'm playing with my new copic markers and was wondering, do you think of specific actors/people when you think of your characters? Like who would best visually represent them? I want to do some fan art but work best with some references... :3
Thanks for the congrats! We had a blast doing it!
That photoshoot was AMAZING. Congratulations on winning the ARC. :)
I do! Which characters did you have in mind?
Honestly? Everyone LOL. If there's a post somewhere that I've missed with all your casting choices, point me to it.

Also, icon love. Don't we all just want a pony and an army of killer dinosaurs? I know I do! :D
Toby, Kristin Bell.
Tybalt, Andrew Lee Potts.
Luidaeg, Linda Cardelinni.

George, Alison Scagliotti.
Shaun, Jason Dohring.
Congrats, ladyaria! That was a well-deserved win. Your photos were awesome.
Thank you! There were a lot of cool pictures. So much cute stuff.
There were, but the winner was clear. Yours was quite creative and must've taken a lot of effort to put together.
I still want to fuzzle Risu.
That just proves you have some sanity in you. Risu is a complete and total sweetheart, and knowing I have her to snuggle and pet and pamper warms my cynical heart.

For a while, she would whine and fuss and kick if I picked her up, so I started teaching her that being picked up yields treats, then that being carried around means treats, then that being picked up, carried around and being put back down without growling, hissing, or whining yields treats. So she has trained me to come over to her when she's standing on something at waist height, or to bend down if she stands on her hind legs with her paws up like a toddler asking to be picked up. So I scoop her up, snuggle and pet her, then put her down gently and dispense treats.

This works out well for both of us, actually, because it is SO CUTE to be a party to.
