A quick note on CD availability.

So I just packed a restock of Red Roses and Dead Things and Pretty Little Dead Girl for CD Baby. In the process of doing so, I had to, you know, count the remaining stock. Bearing in mind that I have somewhere between ten and fifty of each title floating around the house, boxless and waiting to be found under a sofa or behind a bookshelf, I have remaining...

* One CD long box of Pretty Little Dead Girl (thirty copies). This means this CD is now officially on the verge of going out of print. It will not be reprinted.

* Seven CD long boxes of Red Roses and Dead Things (two hundred and ten copies). This is somewhat less urgent; I've probably got stock for the next year or so. After that, who knows? I recommend picking up a copy soon if you wanted one, since Stars Fall Home became unavailable shortly after dropping below two hundred. I may or may not reprint, depending on demand.

* Seven CD long boxes of Wicked Girls (two hundred and ten copies). That's...um. That's sort of awe-inspiring, really, when you consider that this album has been out for less than a year. Actually, scratch "awe-inspiring"; go with "terrifying." If you wanted a copy of the first pressing, this would be the time to get one. I'm almost certainly going to do a second run, since I want this to be available for at least two years, but how long that takes will be determined by my available funds.

All three albums are available through CD Baby; I'm mailing the restock on the two currently out of stock titles tomorrow. They are also available through your friendly neighborhood filk dealer.

And that's our status.

If I can scrape up the funds I may need to order another copy of PLDG; my current copy seems to have gone walkabout.
Sad!
Argh. This would have to be the week when I'm so epically broke I've had to borrow money from everyone who will lend it to me to cover my outgoings because I screwed up. Argh. Really want those first two, as well. I don't suppose there's a chance of hanging onto a copy of each for me until July 26th, at all, please?
I'm reasonably sure they'll last until that long; September 26th might be a different matter. If it looks like they won't, I'll set a pair aside.

Good plan!
Not so surprising to me, really, since a) your popularity has been steadily increasing, and b) Wicked Girls really has a superb song selection. Must get one now *g* ...
And Wicked Girls was released after I started reaching a much larger audience. Still, it's a bit surprising to realize that ALL the CDs now fit on one shelving unit.
I hope they last until I can afford them! :)
Me, too!
Curious? Have you considered digital downloads for any of these?
No.
Good going! You obviously need to release anothe CD in your Copious Spare Time *g*.

Out of interest, what sort of cut do CDBaby take? Compared, for instance, to filk dealers, is there a difference in how much you get for them? I haven't used them from the supply side.
I get $9 per disk from filk dealers, but I get it up-front, when they take the CDs. I get $11 per disk from CD Baby, on a per-sale basis.
I am SO glad I already have mine. And it's no wonder Wicked Girls is nearly sold out. It's wicked good. (I'm from Massachusetts; I can say that with a straight face.)
Hee.
(Smugly patting all 4 cd's before returning them to the secure locked vault) Do you happen to know if there will be a filk dealer at Musecon carrying your CD's? I need some gifts and if I can't get at Musecon I will go to CDBaby.
I do not know. :( I'm sorry.
Vendors are very limited at Musecon this year; to the best of my knowledge, there will not be a filk dealer.

However, I know of a filk dealer who will be attending, but not wearing their dealer hat. Depending on how their stock is stored, it *may* be possible for them to handle a small request. I'll message you a contact.
While I love all your CDs, Wicked Girls is so good I'm surprised there are any left.
It's going fast!

Hello! I'm a new reader of your journal (I hope you don't mind that I've friended you!) and I just wanted to say I just picked up "Wicked Girls" on the suggestion of talkstowolves and it's amazingly wonderful :). I hope to be able to read your books soon as well!
I don't mind at all. Welcome!
This comment might, understandably, be buried; it's been a while since I've been able to keep up with LJ regularly. But when I read this post I went straight to CDBaby to get Pretty Little Dead Girl before it goes out of print! I was wondering though- they've still got it listed as back ordered; do you have any idea how long it takes them to process a restock? Or did they run out already and I'm out of luck? Hopefully you'll see this, although with ComicCon I wouldn't be too surprised if you're busy.
Thanks!

(Edited for html fail. >.>)
It usually takes them a week to process the restock, give or take. I haven't received a "your shipment has been received" email yet.
