The ARCs are here.

Oh, my stars and garters, the ARCs are here. One Salt Sea is a real book, for real and for true, and I can hold it in my hands.

And it is beautiful.

I am so conflicted and amazed by this book. It's the first Toby book written entirely A.D. (After DAW); the other four were finished, to one degree or another, when I got that very first contract. It's the final book of my second contract; Ashes of Honor and The Chimes at Midnight are actually part of my third contract. It's the book most changed by the improvements in my ability as a writer. The original villain isn't even in the book. The story is tighter, the action is cleaner, and some of the things that happen—some of the things that always had to happen—hurt ever so much more than I ever dreamed they could.

It's a real book. I wrote it, and it's real. It's what comes after Late Eclipses, and it's real. I'm honestly a little bit stunned. Part of me never dreamed that I'd make it this far. But I did, and I have, and the books are here, in my hands.

It's amazing.

Well, I hope it has a proper ending.
It DOES.
I am looking forward to reading it. *g*
Yay!
YEAHH!!! Glad to hear that it is everything you wanted it to be.
I look forward to reading it.
Good!
Yay!

Very welcome! I'm good at it. :)
Picture picture picture!

Looking forward to it so much. It's been too long since I've spent time with Toby & the gang.
Good.
ARCs! Cool :-)

I'm looking forward to One Salt Sea. Perhaps there is more inspiration in it. :-)
Oh, one hopes.
Yay! I'm excited to read it. Is it September yet? ;)
Noooooooooooooooo.
Darn-it ... and I have to WAIT until September !!!???
Arrggghhhh !!!!!
Sorry!
Congratulations. :)
Thank you!
Your ARC Tweet caused a spontaneous reaction in which I actually tweeted offering a kidney for an ARC. What can I say? I was literally finishing Deadline on my Nook and actually worrying that my sweaty palms might damage the device. (It's possible that McGuire and Grant ebooks offer a warning: Product may induce palms and/or eyes to produce large quantities of water when least expected. Possibly at the same time.)
Woo!
You inspire me. Thank you for being you.
I'm not good at being anybody else!
Congratulations on this -your reading public also very excited! Who do we have to kill, and in what especially gruesome way, to get an ARC? I can send cat pictures, although obviously not unsolicited at this point? I can throw in a free bonus photo of a Welsh dragon carved in lard? If I did not live several thousand miles away in Canada I could come and pry it from Thomas' paws? Just wondering what the best approach is!
When is actual pub date that mere mortals can buy a copy?
There will be contests. Sadly, there just aren't enough to give out in exchange for cat pictures, or I so would.
Hooray! I can't wait to read it. I love the Toby books so much, and I remember thinking at the end of Late Eclipses, "Oh, things are going to get big from here!"
Yay!
The Toby's have just kept getting better and better with each subsequent release (and yes I know I called you a lizard that writes in my review of 'Late Eclipses', but it was a compliment, honestly it was!). so I am sure that 'One Salt Sea' will be capital A Awesome.
That makes me happy. :)
Huzzah! I look forward to the day it becomes available for purchase. Especially since Kay_gmd and I have discovered that your books are also in Apple's bookstore for our phones - now we can get a signing/lending paper copy and an e-copy for convenient carrying. I will note that the physical copy is still a mandatory purchase in our house. :)
Awesome! On all counts.
