Fragmentary catchup bits.

1. I am basically over The Death Plague From Hell at this point, but I remain exhausted and behind on damn near everything. I'm catching up as fast as I can, but with 500+ LJ comments and nearly as many emails to go through, I'm having to do a lot more "is this actually urgent?" triage than I like. Please be patient, and don't yell at me if two whole days go by without my getting back to you.

2. While I'm asking for favors...please don't link me to Goodreads or Amazon reviews. I really and truly try to avoid reviews on those sites, because they just make me sad and twitchy. (Yes, there are excellent, erudite, well-composed reviews in both places. But the number of mean or thoughtless reviews is very high, and frankly, I don't have the energy to filter through them looking for the good stuff.)

3. If you missed the Deadline book release, or if Toby is more your cup of tea, remember that I will be back at Borderlands Books this coming Saturday, appearing alongside the fabulous Ben Macallan (aka Chaz Brenchley). He's asked me to join him so he'll have a partner for cards if no one shows up. Let's surprise him by having EVERYONE show up. I'll be reading from my new Tybalt prequel story, and there may be some awesome unexpected giveaways...

4. Everyone on the Wicked Girls shirt spreadsheet should have received their initial emails at this point. If you don't have one, please check your spam filter, as the email from Deborah (coming from a Gmail.com address) is somehow not getting to you. If you think I may have the wrong address for you, please let me know ASAP.

5. My house is an absolute disaster zone, and I'm going to need help cleaning out the closets soon. If you're local, not allergic to cats, and think spending a day going through the things I have shoved into my shelves would be fun, drop me a line. This is less "cleaning" and more "de-cluttering, purging, and organizing," which means it's less physical labor, more Tetris for the live-action set.

...so in short, please be patient, and I will try to deal with all emergencies in the order in which they were received.

My honey and myself have read now both Feed and Deadline , and liked them both. We're looking forward to your third in that series.

Mmm, catchup *g*. Glad you're feeling better (and haven't turned into anything nasty in the process and started eating cats or something). Anyone else I would tell to rest, but with you -- just have fun! And hugs...

Low-priority question: if one happened to find a really excellent review somewhere, would it please you to copypasta that review somewhere you could see it without risking the mean and/or thoughtless ones?

I hope you are on the mend quickly. I feel a little better about my cram-it-all-in-yesterday that got out of hand. You make me seem positively slothful!

I'm local and can help though probably only in a block of a couple hours. The smalls must be attended to. They think they are important or something.

My bestie and I agree that Deadline is amazing but Dammit! we need the next book now, kay thanks. That is the goal I suppose. Hubby hasn't read it because then that would be admitting that he was compelled by a book. It's sitting out taunting him so I suspect he'll pick it up soon.

*reads some more* Wow. You would actually ask me to help clean? You're brave. And if soon means sometime towards the end of July? That's possible. (Seriously. Escape the oven that is SoCal in summer? Sign me up.)

Is there any chance you could post what you read from Tybalt’s prequel? Id love to come in person but its a bit of a trip from England.

I'm so glad that the death plague has moved on; I hope that it doesn't come back. Much as I wish I could help you de-clutter, Australia is sadly not local, although if I attach large enough engines to Perth, I could fix that.

Also, I personally would never yell at you for delayed responses. I think it's amazing that you manage to reply to as many comments as you do as it is.

Also also, I'm still working on this, but here's the first two verses:

I return on the 14th at night. So if you plan on doing your closets after that, I am totally game.

While on my trip to West Orange, NJ I have finished both Late Eclipses and Deadline..... OH MY GOD WOMAN! STOP MAKING ME CRY! Or don't..ya know..just sayin'.

My friend in AZ was practically beating me over the head to read Deadline as fast as I could, so we could talk about it. Still, I took my time and savored my read. As for Late Eclipses, I'm sure the person sitting next to me when I started sniffling and crying at one point and absolutely had to HUG to book to my chest was amused.

But really...amazing reads, still in love wit both stories and all your wonderful characters. I positively squealed at the tidbit for Blackout. My hosts were amused.

And to round it all up, glad you're feeling better!

I'm local and definitely not allergic to kitties! Actually, if I can keep my focus (mostly) away from said kitties and (mostly) on my set task, I'm even pretty decent at cleaning/organizing stuff. So if you still need help, let me know. I just moved, so all my cleaning/organizing instincts are still in overdrive.
