To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

The storm is a biiiiiit beyond science, and also a bit beyond sanity. Like, "Umbrella Corp in the third RE movie" levels of kinda stupid.

A bit beyond our present day science, or beyond the science in the Newsflesh world?

I've not seen the RE movies, but don't mind spoilers. I checked out wikipedia's summary, but, predictably, it left me more confused than enlightened.

Science in the Newsflesh setting has focused on medical technology, not weather control. No one created the storm.
