To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

I agree on the incest squick thing. I actually preferred to believe that it wasn't referring to incest simply the fact that Georgia was Shaun's entire world (I'm very good at lying to myself when I am squicked) and am a little nervous for Blackout when the need for it is shown to us.

I have a bit of incest squick myself, but I don't get it for the pair of them, largely because they only use the sibling labels out of "there is no better word for what we are." They're not even related enough to donate blood, were they in a setting that allowed for it.
