DEADLINE open thread. Have a party.

To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence. I will probably answer a great many comments. I may not answer all of them.

Have fun!

I'd want Alison Scaglioti (Warehouse 13) for George, and either Jason Dohring or David Henry (Wizards of Waverly Place) for Shaun. For Buffy, I currently lean toward Jeanette McCurdy.

And lord, no. Someone who knows how to write a script can have THAT party.
I've never seen Warehouse 13, but Alison definitely looks like how you describe George. I loved Jason Dohring in Moonlight and I haven't seen Wizards of Waverly Place, so Jason would have my vote. Jeanette also looks right for Buffy.

Yeah, you've got enough on your plate. :-)

They're all mostly TV actors right now, so they'd probably be affordable, too!
Definite bonus. :-) So would you prefer the Newsflesh trilogy to be movies or a TV series?
Both have their pros and cons. Movie, things get cut; TV series, things have to be added. I think movie stands a better chance of telling the story I set out to tell in the first place.
I think the trilogy might be too intense for TV, unless one of the premium channels picks it up. And a movie would reach more people, I think.
Just on looks, I like the casting of Alison & Jennette. Also on looks (not having seen their work), I'd pick Jason over David. I see more of a straight-ahead, no-quarter-asked/given intensity in his publicity shot that seems more "Irwin-esque".
