To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence. I will probably answer a great many comments. I may not answer all of them.

Go easy on poor Shaun!

He was exhausted, not in his right mind, and Becks cornered him in the bathroom. Guy was kind of not firing on all 12 at the time, so I think a little stupid was to be expected there. He at least had the presence of mind to not say it in the middle of the sex itself.

Yes, and although Brain!Georgia warned him, she was not explicit in what she was warning him about with regard to "be careful with her."

And as was said in Feed, Georgia handled all the fangirls drooling over Shaun, so she ran interference. He never had to pay attention to when a woman was interested in him before, so he had no idea until one pretty much spelled it out in terms even he couldn't miss.

I was suspecting it, and then when George warned him, I was facepalming forever. Poor Shaun. Poor, poor Shaun. Poor Becks.

My thought was Brain!Georgia was expressing what Shaun is used to Georgia saying in response to a certain situation. Shaun doesn't necessarily know what George meant, just that she'd say things like that.
