To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence. I will probably answer a great many comments. I may not answer all of them.

Several blog entries (which I expected) then chapter five and their escaping from sean's building with a new seemingly fairly important but as yet unexplained character. It could just be me and the backstory is coming but the more I read the more I feel like I'm missing pages.

Oh, man!

You're missing the first four chapters, which is like, 80 pages of text. Get thee to a replacement copy, stat!

That's what I was afraid of. The weird thing is the table of contents doesn't acknowledge those chapters either. Dear Kobo you suck...off to the bookstore for me

follow up on this. Of course after I went and bought two deadtree copies today I finally got around to downloading it on my computer and moving it to my Kobo - and I get all the pages that way. So apparently it's just my droid that won't see the first four chapters (or they fixed the problem).

My housemate just downloaded it to her iphone and she gets all the pages so I'm leaning toward them having fixed it. it's the droid app cause it's still not working. Oh well at least I have a full copy now. Which is going to cause havoc to my sleep patterns til I finish reading!
