DEADLINE open thread. Have a party.

To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence. I will probably answer a great many comments. I may not answer all of them.

Have fun!

So...why the incest exactly? I really really loved how close Shaun and Georgia were and how they watched out for each other. And now I just have an icky feeling about the whole thing.

I still enjoyed Deadline and can't wait for the next book, but it really put a damper on how much I loved the book.
All through Feed, I kept thinking, of course neither of them have romantic partners or want them, they've already got their lifemate. But I never thought they were actually having sex. I'm still a bit unsure if they did or not (part of me is thinking that it would be extremely ironic for Shaun to only realise that his feelings include the sexual after George's death), so you can join me here in the corner if you like.
I did wonder about it (sex or no, they do have their lifemate), but then I thought about all of the kids who grew up in kibbutzes having zero sexual interest in each other because they grew up together and thought, "Nah.... this is more of the Not Love Interest trope."

Never mind.
