DEADLINE open thread. Have a party.

To celebrate the release of Deadline [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence. I will probably answer a great many comments. I may not answer all of them.

Have fun!

I finished this book 20 minutes ago and my only regret about rushing through it like that is that nobody I know who read Feed has read this.

I did loan my copy of Feed to my flatmate two weeks ago, because I talk about it pretty constantly.
Her: You make it sound so good, but is it upsetting?
Me: Very.
Her: I don't want to read it.
Me: Then don't.
Her: ...Okay, can I have it.

And then after she finished it she texted me "George is dead what the fuck this is terrible and so unfair WHY". I think you have a new fan.

And an older one in me, because getting back to the topic at hand, I loved Deadline. It was devastating in a different way, and the bit with George at the end felt like too much, but then I read the excerpt from the next one and I don't even know how I'm going to wait a year. Eagerly, I suspect, and with talking the ear off of anyone who'll listen about Feed and Deadline.
Hee hee hee yay.
I have!! I finished last night! Email me ;)
I got one of my coworkers reading Feed. In the middle of the day she IM'd me "I can't believe she killed Buffy!"

I did not reply. It took everything I had, but I did not reply.
I am proud of you.
