T-minus 0 days to DEADLINE.

August 1st, 2014.

Kellis-Amberlee unified the world in a way that nothing had ever unified it before, or ever would again. Cities burned. Nations died. Tokyo, Manhattan, Bombay, London, all of them fell before an enemy that could not be stopped, because it came from within; because it was already inside. Some escaped. Some lived. All carried the infection deep inside their bodies, deep inside their very bones. They carried it with them, and it lived, too.

The Rising was finally, fully underway. Mothers mourned their children. Orphans wailed alone in the night. Death ruled over all, horrible and undying. And nothing, it seemed, would ever make it end.

RISE UP WHILE YOU CAN.

I'll be getting Deadline the moment I see a copy locally. Thank you for this it has been an amazing ride and I can't think of any better way to introduce a book.
Happy Release Day! I ordered my copy this morning. I hope your sales rock. =o)
Book has been obtained! XD Along with a second copy of Feed, as I gave away the first, which was getting kind of worn. (Tucked it in a soldier care package-- so there will be someone in Afghanistan reading your book! :)

So not only does Borders not acknowledge that there is an ebook version of Deadline coming, but when I caved and stopped to get a deadtree copy (have cash but no money in bank so can't order the ebook until Friday anyway) it turns out that they've decided it's "available online only".

Grrr...sometimes discount cards aren't worth their weight in plastic...
Happy New Book Day! Yay! Brains!
Oh and I'll add that even though I saw Deadline in a store at least a week ago I didn't grab it then. I even went online and preordered it to remove all temptation for the store copy. Just kept telling myself, "You've already ordered it. No need to buy it... yes I know you want to read it. You'll read it soon!"
Now I just have to wait for it to be shipped. Soon... soon my pretty...
Picked up my copy of Deadline this afternoon, and just finished it, and omg I have to wait an entire year for Blackout. *flailyhands*
I am impressed! I don't think I could flip the pages that fast, let alone actually read it.

I now have the book. Somehow I don't think I'll start it before dropping off to sleep, though. :)

The quote about Feed on the back cover, "The zombie novel Robert A. Heinlein might have written," is great!
Yesterday was a flying day. It seemed that Seanan's travel troubles were contagious...I knew it was going to be interesting when, about 45 minutes into the flight, the Captain asked "If there is an M.D. on the plane, please ring your call button or come to the front of the plane..."
An emergency landing ensued. The ailing passenger, a veteran, received medical attention and was rushed to a hospital. We were able to continue to Boston, chalking our delay to helping a veteran on Memorial Day.
I've been trying to download the ebook of Deadline all day, but the release date says June 1, so I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to be patient.
Thursday, I present my thesis. Sunday, I graduate. Monday, I TAKE OVER THE WORLD! Oh wait...That's your job. ;-)
Thank you for the Countdown. I'm headed to bed to sleep for a couple of hours so that when Amazon downloads my e-version to my Kindle at midnight, I can wake up and read it. I need to get some sleep since I have to work tomorrow.

I also plan on picking up deadtree versions of both books this weekend at a local B&N store.
Happy Launch Day and good luck! I have enjoyed the snippet-countdown and look forward to the book.
Got it today. It had standee space, too. Top row, right at eye level. How long until hardcovers, I wonder?

Congratulations and best wishes on your release day.
Okay, that last snippet gave me goosebumps.
Happy Book Day! Got my copy before work, from a face out display, and it's about 2 books deep in my to read pile. So expect squeeing in the next week!
Happy book day! My copy from Amazon arrived today and I've already started reading it.

Thank you for these snippets. They've been awesome!
I have hijacked my wife's account to say I am thoroughly geeked out that this last installment bears the same date as my birthday!! Any guesses on what my cake will look like this year?

Happy Book Day to you, and Congratulations!

Happy Book Day!

I've enjoyed the ever-loving heck out of Countdown, and made absolutely sure to pick up Deadline from my local B&N (though they *too* had to go into the back and unpack it for me).

Sadly, I have finals next week, so the book may well have to wait.

HAH! I make myself laugh sometimes. :D
I got mine at Broadway Books in Portland OR.
Powell's is on the wrong side of the river for me.
Deadline delivered via Amazon Whispernet. See everyone in a few hours!
Just reread Feed. Glad I did. Confused about George's death date, though. 2032 or 2040? Need tip go to work in 5 hours and I can't read fast enough! Arrgghh! Contemplating calling in "Risen".
Be back later, Oakland just did What?!
Sadly, there seems to be a typo. 2040 is correct.
Thank you for your generosity in posting all these tidbits; it's been a lot of fun reading them over the past month! I'm looking forward to grabbing a copy of Deadline after my major work obligations end tomorrow.
and...SQUEE!
Yay! My copy came in at the bookstore!

The woman who called me to notify me it was in was really startled that I knew the name of the book. Apparently most people forget what book they ordered. She was even more surprised when I said I was picking it up tonight.
I cleaned the shelves at Barnes & Nobles in HB today of all Mira Grant books. Manager says they will have to put in an immediate restocking order. Hubby wouldn't give me Deadline - he's reading it. So, I bought him his own copy!! Just trying to do our part in making sure Seanan's cats get fed!
Yay!

Thank you!
Happy launch day, a bit late. And eee Deadline. And thank you for the Countdown.

Have bookmarked spoiler thread for when I have actually finished book. Pesky 'work' and 'sleep'.
Very welcome!
I'm a tad sad. Hatchette have done an audiobook and according to their site, it went on sale yesterday but Audible US and UK have no word on when they're going to get it.

Damn it, I need to listen to the book!
Pretty sure it's available now...
Just finished chapter 13 of Deadline on Kindle (on my mac and iPhone) and LOVING it! Those. Five. Words. at the end of chapter nine punched a hole in my heart, by the way… I'd say more, but Spoilers Sweetie!
Thank you!
