I regret nothing!

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva will be firing for the first time on September 10th, at 9:00 AM (or thereabouts). Since I am not actually in Geneva, this means the Large Hadron Collider will be firing for the first time...tonight. At around 11:00 PM. After I've gone to bed.

So, y'know, I may wake up to discover that a black hole has been accidentally unleashed and will now begin cheerfully devouring the planet. Or I may not wake up at all, since the really paranoid people inform me that there's a decent chance the Large Hadron Collider will recreate the Big Bang and, in so doing, unmake all creation. (Amanda, before you hit me with your amazingly large physics brain, I know this isn't going to happen. But a girl can dream.)

So if tomorrow we're all reduced to component atoms, stardust, and the sound of voices screaming "I told you so!" into the void, well...

I regret nothing.

Why have I not seen this icon before? This icon is so quintessentially you.

I don't tend to open posts with it all that often, and then I go through my icons in alphabetical order on replies, starting with the icon after the default icon on the post.

OCD cat is twitchy sometimes.

I never realized that. I just have a firefox extension that randomizes mine. I'll choose a topic-specific one if needed, but in general it's quite random.

This has, on occasion, confused people when they get replies like "WTF are you smoking? Seriously?" combined with my "I love you. Don't you ever fucking question that" icon.

This is doubly amusing in communities.

OCD cat may be twitchy, but she brings us the Toby and Zombies and random blurbs about smallpox. For this, she deserves fresh tomatoes.

Yup. You can watch the patterns as they form! Also, you can watch the patterns CRASH AND BURN when an entry gets large enough to start collapsing its threads.

OCD cat has brought you ballroom dancing and monster hunting today, and will take those tomatoes with pride.

I fully admit... after that I went back and started looking at the icons and seeing if they were in order...

Every day, something new like this comes up, and I am reminded of why I adore thee so.
