So, y'know, I may wake up to discover that a black hole has been accidentally unleashed and will now begin cheerfully devouring the planet. Or I may not wake up at all, since the really paranoid people inform me that there's a decent chance the Large Hadron Collider will recreate the Big Bang and, in so doing, unmake all creation. (Amanda, before you hit me with your amazingly large physics brain, I know this isn't going to happen. But a girl can dream.)
So if tomorrow we're all reduced to component atoms, stardust, and the sound of voices screaming "I told you so!" into the void, well...
I regret nothing.
Do you?

There are stupid things I wish I hadn't done, but I don't regret who I am or how I've lived.

Friends help you move; good friends make sure you're awake for the total dissolution of reality as you have known it.

Though at least one of the incredibly unlikely 'OMG! This will begin the end of the planet!' scenarios stated that we wouldn't actually know there was a problem for at least six months because the extremely tiny black holes would take that long to grow to noticable size.
While I do think that new science should be examined and thought about carefully before actually done to see what problems might result and provide ways to counteract them, I am actually really disturbed by the hysterical 'X new bit of science is going to KILL US ALL' crowd. I'm more disturbed when it's not even particularly new science. Though I did like one of my friend's point that if this was going to create black hole that kill us all, then much of our atmosphere would be covered with them, since we're mostly reproducing what goes on in sections of the upper atmosphere in a controlled environment where we can watch it.

I mean, I wasn't actually worried until people said stuff.
And now I'm like I DON'T CARE IF THEY'RE CRAZY IF THEY ARE NOT WE ARE ALL FUCKED.
IF IF IF IF.
