Crumbs of Wednesday: the administrative post.

Okay, so. A few things...

1. I am still assembling the T-shirt spreadsheet. I had intended to finish last night, but then my home internet decided to emulate the mighty banana slug and travel at a speed of approximately three miles per hour, making navigating LJ borderline impossible. So if you haven't heard back from me, you do not yet need to worry. I will post one more time when the spreadsheet is done, saying "if you haven't heard back from me, worry." But if you followed the instructions (name, size, color, email address on the original post) or contacted me and asked politely for an exception, you should be fine.

2. I just found out that apparently, my drummer on Wicked Girls was never paid. I thought he'd been paid out of the money I gave my producer, but no, that all went to mixing. Given the math of albums, this is totally believable, but marginally, you know, inconvenient. So if you don't yet have a copy of Wicked Girls, or wanted to get one for a friend, now would be an awesome time to do so, as I now have an unexpected recording-related bill to pay.

3. I have a convention this weekend, and word counts to make, and I'm trying to post a piece of Newsflesh-related short fiction every day during the countdown to Deadline. So in the interests of maintaining my own sanity, I'm declaring amnesty from my normal "answer all comments" blog policy where those posts are concerned. I'll try to answer direct questions and the like, but I won't answer every expression of "yay, more story." I'll read and appreciate them all, I just need to use my time in other ways right this second. :)

4. My phone is dead. Not just a little dead; dead-dead, the great death from which there is no returning. So I'm a little grumpy, and only accessible via electronic channels right now. Some of which don't work from home, where the internet is toast. Did I mention that this was the best week ever?

5. There is no number five. I just didn't want to end the list on an even number.

I've been looking for a cool prize to reward myself with due to meeting a deadline. Wicked Girls is perfect! Just bought it. *dances*

Maybe all the crappy stuff for this week is out of the way now and the rest will be filled with awesome feats of awesomeness. *crosses fingers* *sends letter to Great Pumpkin on your behalf*

Wish I had the money to spend but...get this....I've been suspended from work pending a drug test. Apparently, if you are sniffly and have bloodshot eyes, you must be a coke fiend. As opposed to oh, say, being someone with severe pollen allergies who happens to live in North Carolina.

(1) I *need* that cd anyway, so I can play it repeatedly in the car on my way to work, and stop annoying my sweeties by playing their copy repeatedly at their place.

(2) busy, I understand. You need not take time to reply. I honestly do not expect replies to posts I make to favorites authors blogs.

(3) In the hopes it will make you smile, if like to let you know that I'm giving my mom a copy of Red Roses and Dead Things for mothers day, because I'm certain that she will love it :)

Aw man. This week IS fired. (Can I refer you to someone who will *give* you a new phone, buy out any contracts and all that at the same time?)

Yesterday had puppies that snuggled and laid their wee chins on your shoulder when you picked them up. If today has fat guinea pigs in it, I'm set.

Maybe for future sanity it's time to institute a code phrase or symbol that means "No Reply Necessary Just Loving On You" or something like that. (NRNJLOY is a bit clunky, and I'm sure you have better ideas.) If you're not already there, you will get to a point where comment-replying is seriously cutting into writing, which is what many of us, I imagine, would rather have you doing.

Also, if it makes you feel better, I once through total ineptness sent my cell phone through the washing machine. It, uhm, didn't survive so well. And then the replacement phone got lost in the mail (er, well, UPS but same diff really). So, I went a good two weeks or more with no phone. I seriously thought I was going to have to enter a rehab program, I am scared how dependent I am on the blasted piece of plastic. Even more so now that I have a Droid.

You are not the only one having a terrible week (so far). I won't load your LJ page with my complaints. Suffice it to say that I went for ice cream last night to make it better.

As for your CDs, I signed up for email notification when Pretty Little Dead Girl comes back in. That's the best I can do. (That is the one there are still copies left of, isn't it?)
