Pip sets now available for the Toby Daye collection!
Oh, happy day! I am now chortling in my joy, because I have an AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT to share with everybody: Conjure Oils is now offering sampler pips of the current Toby Daye perfume line. There are TWENTY-ONE scents available, including "Toby Daye" (cut grass and copper), "April O'Leary" (ozone and electricity), and even "January O'Leary" (ozone and pine). These things knock my socks off. Seriously, they are all amazing, and so, so perfect.
Since not everyone wants to gamble on a 5ml bottle of a perfume they haven't smelled before, Conjure Oils is now allowing orders of seven "pips," little 1/32 oz. sampler vials that let you play with a perfume without taking the full risk. This is a truly awesome thing, and it shows a lot of faith in the line as a whole. Hooray!
Shipping is a killer - and it isn't going to get any less expensive, unfortunately. The USPS is set to raise their rates AGAIN the middle of this month!
Right now I ship first class to the UK, but it will change by the end of the summer to Priority flat rate - so it will essentially double. I've lost three parcels that I've shipped to the UK since the beginning of the year and it breaks my heart! (I've been shipping on a large scale since 2007 and have only lost one parcel up to 2011!)
And what are the customs dues? Aren't they based on the amount you order that's declared? Or is it specifically different for perfume? (This is new info to me if that's the case!) It may not make a difference because I declare them as "scented oils" because "perfume" implies alcohol based and you can't ship that airmail.
Well, maybe if there is a group of you you could get together and order. I still offer free shipping on all orders overseas that total $100 or more... :D
I just ordered the samplers but I order a lot of stuff from the US. I think your charged if it's over £18 in cost/value or if one of the custom's guys feels like it. What's worse is the eight quid Royal Mail charge on top of that!
I might be interested in joining that if I had not just taken part in lm's decant circle. I will make sure to bring them if I am at all likely to see you any time soon so you can have a smell (I got the 7 original).
My favourite is actually the Salamander Attractant. With Tybalt a close second. I like the May Daye but not how it smells on me so I gave that to mokatki :D
