Wicked Girls changing the world, one disk at a time.

The CD Baby newsletter for April has gone out. They always highlight a few albums, including their titles and covers, along with "listen" links. It's a fun way to find new music, and filk albums never show up there.

Only Wicked Girls? Is their top seller for April. And they still have stock, so hopefully people will be able to listen and then order and then I will have fewer CDs sitting around waiting to be adopted.

So, um. I think this may be the first filk CD ever selected as a top seller.

Whoa.

That's all.

The album in question is no longer on constant repeat in my head. It IS the most played MP3 on my Ipod (although I'm also listening to the Audiobook of Feed, preparing for May). May I say that the "newness" has worn off?
Now, this disc, with every note familiar, can be examined in detail. For one, I still want to dance (and, to be completely honest, usually do) every time that I hear "Fox Hunt." "Dear Thomas" is warring with "Sycamore Tree" for the ringtone of the Love of my Life, but regardless of why I hear either, I lose a breath when either starts. I've not seen "Red Riding Hood," because I'm confident that it'll be a letdown after "The True Story Here."
Possibly the most telling point, I often avoid playing "Writing Again," because it still induces intense tearing up at unpredictable intervals. Finally, "My Story Is Not Done" never fails to strengthen my resolve and I thank you for including it. I know that it's a replacement for "When It Falls," but I have to thank you for it. I needed it...and this album.

Thank you!
Thank you. :)
