LATE ECLIPSES open thread. Have a party.

To celebrate the release of Late Eclipses [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy], here. Have an open thread to discuss the book.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence.

Have fun!

Why would it not necessarily be Oberon? Page 86, there's a line where Toby references the missing queens and king, and she says, "Someone's eventually going to have to go and find them." I read that and had a big 'ooooohhhhh" moment. Who better to find missing monarchs than a sometimes reluctant hero? Doesn't mean it is Oberon, but I'm not going to count him out as the anonymous 'he' who shall not be named.

Oh, and I am totally Team Tybalt, but I'm afraid to say it too often. Ms. McGuire doesn't seem afraid to remove favorite characters, and right now I open each book with eyes all scrunched up, chanting my McGuire Mantra, "Please don't let Sylvester, Amandine, Luna, Tybalt, Quentin, May or Toby die in this one. Please don't let Sylvester, Amandandine, Luna..." And since she's so dang good at creating unique, richly textured characters, that mantra is going get SOOOOOO long before it's over. (But I have a few that I can't wait to see their comeuppance!)

All of these books, btw, are outstanding. Best series that I've read in a good, long while.
Could have been Blind Michael. I can see him getting on well with Oleander.
