I love the fact they used SCIENCE to fix things.

Magic that's distinguishable from science is insufficiently magical.

It makes sense, though. If you want to hide something from ordinary humans, you use magic. If you want to do something to the fae, you use science. And, as Oleander discovered, a combination of the two can be even more effective.
